Riley Keough has spoken out on her "complicated" relationship with grandmother Priscilla Presley following a will fallout. The actress said that their relationship went through "a bit of upheaval" while they were battling over Lisa Marie Presley’s will.

Lisa Marie passed away in January due a bowel obstruction. Ever since, there have been issues when it came to the will due to Riley being Lisa Marie's daughter and Priscilla being her mother.

However, in a recent interview Riley said that her relationship with her grandmother is back to being a "happy" one after being named as the sole trustee of her late mother's estate as well as being the owner of Graceland.

In an interview with Vanity Fair, Riley said: "I’m trying to think of a way to answer it that’s not a 20-minute conversation. There was a bit of upheaval, but now everything’s going to be how it was.

"Anything that would suggest otherwise in the press makes me sad because, at the end of the day, all [Priscilla] wants is to love and protect Graceland and the Presley family and the legacy."

A Los Angeles Superior Court judge approved a settlement naming Riley as the sole heir. Drama surrounding Lisa Marie's will started due Priscilla disputing a 2016 amendment removing her as co-trustee and naming Keough and her brother Benjamin, who has since died, instead.

After a month-long dispute, Riley agreed to give her grandma $1million (£786,000) to become the sole trustee, as well as $400,000 (£314,000) to cover legal fees.

Following the agreement, Priscilla said that "Elvis [Presley] would be proud" of the June settlement in a statement. She said: "Lisa’s wishes are what are most important to all of us. My granddaughter, through her counsel, along with my team worked diligently and tirelessly to resolve all misunderstandings as a family."

Lisa Marie passed away suddenly at the age of 54. The cause was not known at the time but it has since been revealed that she died from complications of a small bowel obstruction related to bariatric surgery.
