Finding an unbelievable bargain when shopping is a thrill for many and can save you money on items you might really need - or just want.

The cost of living crisis has made us all more conscious of what we're spending but fans of online shopping could be missing out on nearly 70 per cent off their favourite shops.

Savvy shoppers will probably be aware that you can get designer picks for cheaper at outlet stores around the country, but you might not be aware that your favourite online shops have these as well.

Online retailers ASOS and Boohoo both have an outlet version of their site, chock full of deals waiting to be swept up.

When penny pinching, spending your hard earned money might be reduced to an odd treat - which means when your favourite jeans rip you might not be so quick to replace them.

Or maybe you love a new season haul, refreshing your wardrobe to reflect the latest trends, although these are less common now with Gen Z firmly focused on reducing waste and rejecting fast fashion.

Regardless of your reasons, checking out the discounted outlet could save you a fair amount, especially if you're willing to spend some time looking.

The Mirror found that Boohoo's outlet was particularly good for winter coats and dresses at the moment, with the satin 'it' dress from last year now down to less than £8.

We also found some super on-trend long padded jackets down from £60 to just £18 as well as £30 jeans now only £9.

ASOS, being a bigger retailer all round, was boasting around 75,000 items available but offered up endless sportswear on the first page. This included name brand like Puma, Nike, Adidas and Under Armour, with a range of trainers, leggings and tops all up for grabs.

One of the insane price drops we found was a faux fur lined coat down from £210 to just £46.50, in multiple colours.

Outlet stores are essentially a year-round sale, with companies offloading their overstock items and previous collections with big discounts.

Traditionally, they started as a way to sell broken or returned stock but now it's a way to shift items that would usually need to be destroyed.

As the items are extra stock or end of season, it means once they're gone there will be no restock so keen shoppers might want to jump to it and grab some incredible deals.
