A Coronation Street favourite is set to join online subscription site OnlyFans as part of a major sex work storyline. Acid attack survivor Ryan Connor is said to launch his own account in upcoming episodes.

The barman, played by actor Ryan Prescott, will reportedly be drawn into the world of sex work after struggling to come to terms with his horrific attack. Ryan suffered face and neck injuries after he saved Daisy Midgeley from being doused with acid by her stalker Justin. The scars have ruined Ryan's confidence, and he has turned to steroids in a bid to build himself back up.

Ryan has been taking photos of his body transformation and posting them online. However, he is set to take it one step further in a "major storyline". He is said to be launching an anonymous profile on the site and will go from posting shirtless selfies to explicit videos. Ryan won't be showing his face and scars as he attempts to make "easy money".

“Ryan has had a tough year and he is soon going to be tempted into taking the easy money that comes with things like OnlyFans. But he will soon discover that not everything is as easy as it first appears. It’s a major storyline for Ryan and one that bosses know he is going to smash," a source told The Sun.

Actor Ryan had previously teased we would be seeing a "darker" side to Ryan. Speaking exclusively to The Mirror at the British Soap Awards, he said: "When you’ve been through something so traumatic, you end up holding onto anything you can and that’s what Ryan's been doing.

"He does it with Alya, he does it with Crystal, he does it with Daisy. Then he finds himself attaching to Daisy who is pretending to be Crystal. It kind of leads him down a darker road after the humiliation, especially with Daisy being one of the only real relationships he has at the moment. It takes him to the next phase of his denial. It’s not like he’s over it. There’s that edge of reality and for people who’ve been through this, it’s a life long battle to get through it."
