Madonna's "Celebration" tour will be rescheduled, the singer has announced - just a few weeks after her serious hospitalization.

The megastar reassured fans that the tour would happen, albeit delayed. She tweeted: "Thank you again for your incredible support and patience over these past few weeks! I'm happy to report that the re-routed tour schedule will be coming in the next few days!"

The tour was initially announced in January and expected to get started on July 15 in Vancouver, Canada. Just under a month prior to the start date, Madonna was rushed to the hospital due "a serious bacterial infection which led to a several-day stay in the ICU," according to her manager.

Madonna's celebration tour was intended to commemorate her 40th anniversary in music. It would span 35 cities globally, but how the rescheduled dates will impact that plan is still unknown.

Previously, Madonna gave fans an update on Instagram. At that time, she wrote: "The current plan is to reschedule the North American leg of the tour and to begin in October in Europe."

If the singer has decided to stick with her initial idea, the tour would kick off in London at the O2 Arena on October 17. From there, Madonna will tour across Europe before she returns back to London for the conclusion on December 6.

On Sunday, Madonna shared a health update with fans, explaining that she had been reflecting on her hospital experience. She said: "Love from family and friends is the best medicine."

She gushed about the way her family came together. She wrote: "As a mother, you can really get caught up in the needs of your children. But when the chips were down, my children really showed up for me. I saw a side to them I had never seen before. It made all the difference."

It appears that she has made a speedy recovery and will be ready to dominate the stage again soon. Just a week ago, she posted a dancing video from her home. In the caption, she wrote: "To be able to move my body and dance just a little bit makes me feel like the Luckiest Star in the world!"
