Coronation Street's Stephanie Davis has welcomed a new member into her family, much to the excitement of her devout fanbase.

The 30-year-old actress, best known for playing Courtney Vance on the ITV soap, took to Instagram on Friday to share the joyful news that she and partner Joseph Mckalroy were now proud parents to a new pet dog. In a sweet upload shared to her Stories, Davis posted a precious snap of pooch Hallie along with a clip of her son, Caben, being told of the canine's addition to the household.

"Where do you think we're going?" she asks the sweet five-year-old, to which he replies: "For lunch." "What if I told you that you can have a new puppy?" Davis then says, prompting Caben to become so excited that he begins to gasp and shout with delight. "You can have a little puppy... we're going to buy you one," the Corrie star adds.

Davis, who also previously starred on Hollyoaks, then posted a clip of Caben and Hallie together with their other dog, Sandy.

Davis and Mckalroy began dating in 2022, six months after the mother-of-one ended her relationship with Oliver Tasker. The Yorkshire native lives a relatively private life, but according to Davis's social media posts, has attended multiple family functions with her and Caben and even travelled abroad with the duo.

In 2015, the Coronation Street star signed up to participate in the fifteenth series of I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!. Unfortunately, she was forced to withdraw from the show because of a nut allergy that could be potentially fatal. She finally landed a reality TV gig the following year, however, joining Celebrity Big Brother in January 2016 alongside the likes of Jonathan Cheban and former EastEnders star Daniella Westbrook.

Davis has spoken out about her history of mental illness, revealing in 2019 that she has battled depression and alcoholism in the past. In 2017, she admitted herself to rehab to seek treatment for her addiction and mood disorder. She has also been diagnosed with PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder), high-functioning autism and ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder).

"When I got the diagnosis, I didn’t really understand what it meant, but as soon as I did my research I was like: 'Whoa, that is me,'" Davis said. "Everything jumped out and it made me feel more at ease because I felt: “It’s not just me.” It made me accept myself for the first time and start to look forward. It was the biggest relief.’
