Busta Rhymes shares 100lb weight loss after terrifying experience during sex

Busta Rhymes looks incredible after undergoing a massive weight loss transformation, with him now revealing the shocking reason that sparked his life-changing health kick.

The New York-born rapper, 51, has revealed that his weight loss journey came after he endured a scary experience during sex. The rapper known for his hits like Touch It and I Know What You Want has detailed how he had am "asthma attack" after sexual intercourse with his ex.

Following the death of his father in 2014, Busta, whose real name is Trevor George Smith Jr., coped with "drinking, smoking and eating bad". He worked himself hard and recorded a lot of songs in order to "escape the pain".

But after he gained weight following the life-changing loss of his dad, Busta had a scary incident that led to him deciding to turn his life around. Speaking to Men's Health as their cover star, the rapper has recalled the scary experience and how he shed almost eight stone.

"One night I was getting ready to have, make, you know... I was getting ready to have an intimate moment with my ex," he said, before recalling how he had a "really difficult time breathing" after the encounter. He added: "I got up and I walked out of the bedroom, so she wouldn’t panic seeing me trying to keep myself calm. I was trying to inhale and it felt like it wasn’t working.

"I felt like I was having like an asthma attack—but I don’t have asthma," the hip-hop legend added.

Busta then recalled how his ex pointed out his poor health, with her telling him that the person he had become was not the person she fell in love with. "She didn’t know what had happened outside, but she was looking at my body and the weight. She was like, ‘You got to lose this weight,'" he added.

The rapper added that his ex then voiced her concerns about his breathing, with her said to have been scared. After she voiced her concerns and spoke out about how he was slimmer when they met and had now got bigger, Busta decided to embark on a health kick.

In 2019 the rapper weighed in at a staggering 340lbs, with him said to have been in the "worst health" that he had ever been in, but now he has shed 100lbs and is thought to be down to 240lbs and far healthier than he was before.
