Nate Diaz tells Eddie Hearn to "keep your mouth shut" over Jake Paul prediction

Nate Diaz has fired back at Eddie Hearn for criticising his boxing skills ahead of his fight against Jake Paul.

Diaz makes his professional boxing debut against Paul on Saturday after parting ways with the UFC last September. The 38-year-old's boxing skills were recently questioned by Matchroom Boxing boss Hearn as the promoter went on to call his fight against Paul a mismatch. “I watched clips of Nate Diaz hit pads and I was like [shocked],” Hearn said on The MMA Hour.

"You know that it’s going to be a mismatch against Jake Paul. I love Nate Diaz, but for it to be a mismatch against Jake Paul? It won't go four [rounds] unless it's all a bit of a bluff from Nate with what I saw. When you see people hit pads, you just know. We're talking about Jake Paul here."

Diaz has now issued a fiery response to Hearn and added context to the clip of him hitting pads, which was also mocked by boxing fans online. "If you don't have anything positive to say about me on a real, f*** you," Diaz said during his face-to-face interview with Paul. "That's what I have to say, because I don't have anything negative to say about them, so why don't you just keep your mouth shut. It comes with the territory so pull up with the criticism, I don't give a f***.

"What do they know? What does anybody know about that? Their opinion shows how much they don't know. When you talk about the hitting mits clip, that's my f****ng kicking coach. That's a whole different story that nobody else knows about, if they want to get a real fight they can get kicked in the face.

"Especially if they are criticising the fact that 'He doesn't know what he's doing in boxing' but yeah you don't know what you're doing about fighting. You'll get slept with a head kick, or a body kick then a knockout. They don't know nothing about that, not knowing that I've got girls that will f*** them up and choke them to sleep. If you don't know what you're talking about, why are you talking?"

Bookies have Diaz as a considerable underdog to beat Paul, who was unbeaten in six professional fights before his loss to Fury. Despite the likes of Hearn and other pundits online criticising Diaz's boxing ability, former world champions such as Andre Ward and Regis Prograis have spoke highly of the UFC legend's skills after sparring with him.
