Bruce Willis seemed to enjoy a day out with pals as he was driven around Los Angeles after being diagnosed with dementia earlier this year.

The Die Hard star was seen out and about in the sunny Californian city on Wednesday as he watched passers-by from the window of a black SUV. He wore a bright white T-shirt and a light blue baseball cap which had a grey eagle printed on.

Bruce was joined by two other men who also wore baseball caps and sunglasses. The outing comes amid the actor's health struggles, with his wife Emma Hemming Willis admitting treatment options are "slim".

The 68-year-old's health issues were revealed earlier this year after he was originally said to be suffering from aphasia. His family later confirmed his condition had progressed to frontotemporal dementia.

Emma has been keeping fans updated on her husband and recently took to Instagram to admit: "When you live in the world of dementia you know that options are slim." She later made a heartfelt plea to fans that "those with dementia matter".

The 45-year-old model reposted a video with her 850,000 social media followers to share the importance of treating those with dementia dementia with patience. In the clip, a nurse shared the story of a caregiver telling her that one of her patients with dementia "doesn't matter".

She went on to explain how this mindset is all too common. Emma captioned the post: "I know my community knows this. But let's spread this message around as a reminder to others to never be dismissive to anyone in cognitive decline."

Emma has also vowed to never forget her husband's accomplishments. Bruce is famous for his performances in iconic films such as Die Hard, Pulp Fiction and The Sixth Sense.

Sharing a throwback video of her husband with their two young children - Mabel and Evelyn - on the set of Die Hard, Emma wrote: "Back in 2018 (when these videos and pictures were taken) we took Mabel and Evelyn to the Fox lot to peek at the archives as well as see the larger-than-life mural of their dad."

She added: "What Bruce has been able to accomplish in his career will never be lost on us. We are so proud of him."
