EastEnders fans 'work out' deadly Graham Foster twist as he returns to BBC soap

EastEnders fans think they have figured out an upcoming deadly Graham Foster twist after the villain returned to the hit BBC One soap after 18 years on Wednesday. Viewers will recall that Graham, played by Alex McSweeney, befriended and raped Little Mo, which resulted in her falling pregnant with Freddie, played by Bobby Brazier.

In the hard-hitting storyline, Little Mo refused to terminate her pregnancy, which led to the breakdown of her marriage to Billy Mitchell, played by Perry Fenwick. Graham was jailed for eight years for the rape and was last seen on screen in January 2005 when Billy saw him in prison after receiving a visiting order.

And despite not being seen in Albert Square since his prison release, Graham made an explosive return on Wednesday's episode as Freddie arranged to meet him after successfully finding his place of work. During the meeting, Freddie learnt he has sisters and arranged to see his dad again. However, Freddie was still unaware of how he was conceived and the truth about Graham.

Later, after Kat Slater, Billy Mitchell and Alfie Moon learnt of Freddie meeting his dad, they sat the youngster down to finally tell him the truth, leaving him devastated. On Thursday, Freddie was left broken by the news and decided to seek solace on the roof of the Queen Vic, leaving his family sick with worry over his disappearance.

However, in true soap style, after reporting Freddie missing to the police... he then showed up, leaving the Slater family relieved and delighted. Freddie then took himself off to his bedroom, where he broke down in tears. He was then interrupted by a voicemail from Graham, who said he wanted to see him at the weekend and his sisters were excited to meet him. Freddie decided to delete Graham's number.

Although it looks like Graham is gone, viewers think there could be a twist coming up and the villain will return to Albert Square only to be killed off this Christmas. Earlier this year, EastEnders released a first look at the 2023 Christmas episode in a flashforward scene in a BBC One soap first where Denise (Diane Parish), Kathy (Gillian Taylforth), Linda (Kellie Bright), Sharon (Letitia Dean), Stacey and Suki (Balvinder Sopal) were faced with a dead body.

In the moments that unfolded at the Queen Vic, the group of women all stood round in shock in a festive-looking pub and looked down at a man, wearing amber cufflinks, lying dead on the floor. Not much was said between the group, but Stacey was covered in blood, Denise was holding a smashed bottle of Champagne and Sharon wore a bloodied wedding dress as she leant over the body.

Ever since the scenes aired, eagle-eyed soap fans have been looking for clues as to who the dead body could be and viewers now think they've cracked it. Thanks to Graham's return, viewers think the villain will die. Taking to social media, one person said: "Graham is body at Christmas #EastEnders", a different account put: "Do you guys think Graham will be making another return? I have a feeling this isn't the last we will be seeing of him. #EastEnders" while another fan added: "Ugh. Graham will come back to Walford when he doesn't hear from Freddie I bet... #EastEnders."
