Meghan Markle could command $5m per Hollywood film if she returns to acting
Meghan Markle could potentially command $5 million for a Hollywood movie should she get back into acting, but an expert claims that she'd need to put in the work to reap the rewards and the respect in the brutal industry that is often hard to crack.
The Duchess of Sussex recently signed with renowned Hollywood talent agency William Morris Endeavour following reports she wants to become a "Hollywood power player". According to reports, she has set up shop in a hotel suite close to her agency's office, plotting how she'll move forward and garner success after she and Prince Harry moved to America in the wake of stepping down as working Royals.
Nicole Russin-McFarland, a film score composer and actress, who is currently working on a Peter Pan screenplay, spoke exclusively to The Mirror US about the Duchess' future in the world of Hollywood, and she revealed to us the eye-watering figure Meghan could potentially command to star in a movie, which would follow on from her Suits role as Rachel Zane.

An expert has weighed in on what she reckons Meghan could bank for a role in a movie (Getty Images)The composer and expert revealed: "If she were to go right into jumping into acting, she isn’t going to be in that $20 million league with proven movie stars. Could she get $1 to 2 million? Easily with her fame.
"Could she achieve $5 million? PERHAPS, because it would be negotiating with the curiosity factor. Any movie with her in it has some potential to gather in the biggest fans combined with hate watching people who would make fun of her if she turns out to be good anyway, with curiosity over wanting to know what she is like as a serious actress again."

Elsewhere in our chat, Nicole said that Meghan will only be well respected in Hollywood and the movie industry "if she puts in the work that commands her that respect". She added that the Duchess "can absolutely have an A-list acting career", but only "if she doesn’t go into this the wrong way that’s been done so many times by every reality show contestant and celebrity spouse ever".
She said that Meghan has to "prove people wrong by hitting the books, going back to acting workshops, private acting lessons, writing her own amazing screenplays solo no ghost writers, doing her own production elements say maybe having a vast knowledge of some area".
The movie expert then touched on how Natalie Portman had to act in her directorial debut to get the full financing and attention it deserved, with her adding that "this is the norm for women", which could mean that Meghan "is going to have to work hard like the rest of us to prove herself".
Nicole added that Meghan will "make it big and prove herself as an acting talent and businesswoman".
