Over his 23 years in the NFL, Tom Brady became one of the highest-paid players in league history - giving him a huge net worth which has set him up for retirement.

Brady could have made much more in his NFL career, spending 20 years with the New England Patriots and three with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before retiring in 2023. However, the quarterback opted to take less money in order for the team to spend more elsewhere to improve the chances of competing for a Super Bowl.

That was certainly a smart move from the legendary quarterback, going on to win seven Super Bowl's throughout his career - while making a boatload of money on the way.

After retiring earlier this year, Brady had been in talks to become a minority owner in the Las Vegas Raiders, the 46-year-old has now invested in Championship side Birmingham City FC. Brady is set to hold the role of chairman of the club's advisory board.

Brady has joined joining fellow American Tom Wagner on the board, who purchased ownership of the team earlier this summer. But how much has Brady made throughout his career?

According to CelebrityNetWorth.com, Brady has a net worth of £237million ($300m)... but that does not take into account the money he has made from many of his other businesses - with his total net worth expected to be significantly higher.

Brady divorced from his ex-wife Gisele Bundchen last year, who is reported of having a £327m ($414m) net worth - with the two having invested in dozens of projects together across the years.

Brady has sponsorship deals with the likes of IWC Schaffhausen, Under Armour and Wheels Up, while owning a number of businesses himself.

His 2020 contract with the Buccaneers saw him make £41m ($51m) over two years, before signing a £20m ($25m) extension for his final season in 2022.

The 46-year-old is expected to have a hands-on role at Birmingham City, where he will take up the role of chairman of the club's advisory board.

Brady will also work alongside the sports science department to advise on health, nutrition, wellness, and recovery systems and programmes - something he had been passionate in during his later years in the NFL - hiring his own personal coaches in that department.
