Good Morning Britain presenter Laura Tobin told fans she's taking a two-week holiday. The 41-year-old meteorologist, who has been part of the ITV show since 2014, announced her holiday on social media.

Writing on Twitter, she said: "I’m on leave from @GMB for 2 weeks to spend some much needed time with family & friends. Don’t miss me too much." Fans immediately rushed to the comment section to tell her how much they'll miss her. One ITV viewer commented: "Noooooo i will miss you," while another added: "NNNNNNOOOOOOOO!!!!!!" One person posted: "We will miss you but enjoy your deserved time off x."

Laura worked for the BBC before moving to the ITV Breakfast show Daybreak in 2012. Daybreak was soon replaced by Good Morning Britain in early 2014. She has been on the programme ever since.

The meteorologist's break comes a month after she was forced to brush off an awkward encounter during a live broadcast on GMB. While presenting live from Stonehenge in June when a male admirer approached her.

"There are lots of people very interested in Laura’s weather forecast," Susanna Reid quipped from the ITV studio as a man appeared on camera and wrapped his arm around Laura.

"How many new friends have you made this morning Laura?" Susanna went on to joke as Laura tried to laugh the random encounter off.

The man wasn't deterred and proceeded to wrap a foil blanket around her as he thought she might be "cold". He flashed a huge smile to the camera while she laughed and told him: " Thank you very much. That's really helpful and kind."

The segment was completely derailed as he went on to flirt with her and seemingly tried to make a move on her while she tried to continue presenting. "I really like your energy, you’re a really pretty lady," he told the Good Morning Britain star. "I just want to be part of the culture, and see the beauty, this energy, your entourage."

"She's married!" Susanna yelled from the studio. "Yeah, I am married but that’s so kind of you," Laura added as she continued to try to brush the man off.

He seemed to ignore her marriage statement and told her: "That’s very helpful to know, the very question, do you have a boyfriend or not? Because if you are taken, it’s okay, yeah sure we can enjoy other vibes, flirting."
