Scarlett Moffatt has shared an adorable snap of her baby 'smiling' as she settles into life as a new mum.

The Gogglebox star, 32, gave birth to her son, Jude, five weeks ago and looked every inch the proud parent as she cradled her bundle of joy. Wearing a tiny white t.shirt, little Jude appears to be grinning as he lies peacefully on his mum's chest.

Scarlett beams for the camera in the snap, which fans flocked to comment on, telling the reality star she looked "amazing." The presenter captioned the photo: "5 weeks of being a mammy & I feel like I view everything so differently, especially bodies. They’re bloody marvellous machines."

The new mum's followers agreed with her positive post, as one replied: "Mothers are literally incredible xXx'. Another said: "You look so happy Scarlett." While a third shared: "You are doing BITS Scarlett! Your new body confidence is as beautiful to see as you are girl!!!!"

Sharing photos and videos from the pregnancy, baby shower and birth, the County Durham-born star spoke about what a whirlwind the last nine months have been. She wrote: "I can’t believe how quick time feels since you’ve been in our lives Jude. I’m sure days didn’t go this quickly before. What did I bloody do before you? Ha."

Lots of new mums replied to the post, with many telling Scarlett to make sure she enjoyed the experience. One wrote: "New born stage is exhausting but the most amazing time them snuggles and the new born smell, enjoy every minute xx'. While another advised: "Enjoy every second of his first year. It's such a magical time."

Posting her first photo of Jude in the hospital five weeks ago, the proud parent gushed: “My darling boy I can’t stop crying looking at you as I can’t quite believe you’re mine. You wanted to meet us early at just 35 weeks. Me and your daddy love you so much that I can’t even put this feeling into words.

“Our heart and soul feels complete & ready to burst. I will forever and always be grateful to be your mammy. You will all forever hold a special place in my heart for looking after us all with such compassion. Let the baby bubble commence,” she added, as she thanked her partner Scott, and the midwives at Durham Hospital.
