With the school holidays in full swing, many British families are looking for cheap ways to get away with the kids.

As families furiously search the internet for bargain breaks, some of the country's best-loved holiday parks have already lined up some low-cost deals starting from £249 for a three-night break at various locations around the country.

As the cost of living crisis rumbles on, holiday operators like Parkdean Resorts are attracting fun lovers by offering cheap deals on British holidays.

Holiday parks have been a staple part of the British school holidays since they became popular back in the 1950s. Nowadays, holidaymakers can forget about shabby caravans and over-enthusiastic red coats, as the newest generation of holiday parks offer well-equipped accommodation, on-site activity villages, swimming pools, fishing lakes, first-class live entertainment and so much more.

According to Parkdean, some of their parks are offering incredible value for money for families looking to book a last-minute staycation.

To help holidaymakers find brilliant bargain breaks, we've rounded up five of the best-value British holiday resorts with availability for August 2023.

Kessingland, Suffolk

Parkdean Resorts are offering a four-night chalet stay at the Kessingland Beach Holiday Park from Monday, August 28 for £249 for two people.

For larger parties, a three-night stay at Parkdean starts from £269 for a six-berth caravan, bringing the cost down to as little as £14.90 per person, per night.

Clacton, Essex

Great Yarmouth, Norfolk

Alternatively, Haven has an equivalent four-night stay at the Seashore Holiday Park in Norfolk for £329, starting on Monday, August 7.

Skegness, Lincolnshire

The Lincolnshire seaside town has plenty to offer holidaymakers of all ages, including an award-winning beach and an amusement pier that's packed full of traditional summer holiday fun.

With the Natureland Seal Sanctuary and Fantasy Island both close by, there is plenty to see and do both onsite and on the beaches and countryside that surround the town.

Groups of up to six people can stay in a caravan at the Southview Holiday Park in Skegness for £339 from August 7 to 11 with Parkdean, that's just over £55 per person for a mid-week stay.

Haven is also offering excellent deals in Lincolnshire, with four nights at their Skegness-based holiday park starting from £369 on the same dates.

Whitley Bay, Northumberland

Parkdean is currently offering four nights at the Whitley Bay Holiday Park for £369 on Monday, August 14 in a six-berth caravan.

Larger family groups can upgrade to an eight-berth caravan for £409 on the same mid-week dates.
