A Tipping Point contestant who was cruelly fat-shamed by viewers underwent a total body transformation, losing half her bodyweight.

Cruel trolls sent Erika, from Swansea, Wales, messages after she appeared on the ITV show earlier this year. But she decided to use their terrible words to inspire her and the results speak for themselves.

She may not have done too well on the programme, but she has since come into her own. After being sent home following the first round, she decided the time was right to find a fitness programme and she hasn't looked back. Erika, a patient's adviser, says the unkind comments spurred her on and she was flooded with compliments.

Taking to Instagram, she told her friends and family about why she did it. Alongside the picture of her new physique, she explained: "So after seeing myself on #tippingpoint and being fat-shamed on here I changed my life and lost almost half my body weight! Thanks everyone for the motivation!”

There was of course looks of praise as her followers were thrilled by her new slimmed-down look. One told her: "You look beautiful but I am sure you did before but well done and to all the fat shamers......."

Another said: "Wow Erika. Well done! Not everyone would be that motivated. Heartiest congratulations on looking fabulous. I bet you feel better in yourself. are healthier & are more confident. Good luck for the future!" A third told her: "Just watched it and you weren’t fat and looked lovely, loving the orange outfit and well done on losing the weight." One of her other followers said: "You look amazing!"

Ben Shephard hosts the quiz show as the 48-year-old presenter oversees events, with the guests all vying for the £10,000 prize.
