Damon Albarn and his partner long-term Suzi Winstanley's reported separation will be slightly easier to come to terms with for the former couple owning two homes.

The Blur frontman and Suzi Winstanley are said to have split after 25 years together. The claims come after the singer, 55, burst into tears earlier this month as he and his bandmates played to 75,000 adoring fans at Wembley Stadium. Damon never married partner Suzi, also 55, but the pair had been together since 1998 and later welcomed their daughter and only child, Missy, who is now 23.

Suzi reportedly asked Damon to leave their home in Notting Hill, London, and he is likely to have packed his bags for their second property, and eco-friendly home near the village of Kellaton, South Devon. An Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty, they ruffled feathers whey they installed ground source heat pumps.

Good for the environment, bad for the local parish council who called them "visually and acoustically intrusive". According to South Hams District Council planning documents, the council also objected to other changes. It read “revision to external cladding material and high-level window design and additional external door to gable end of workshop/studio, plus additional ground source heat pump."

It read: "The parish council had not seen a problem but when the works were put into context with these historic site comments, the siting of the ‘proposed’ heat pump outside the application red curtilage line was highlighted as a concern. Retrospective planning applications were never well received so parish council were disappointed with this siting as the purpose of this pump was to heat additional commercial not residential premises.

"The setting of a second heat pump outside the red line, on the application, located right next to the footpath was intrusive visually and acoustically when it was felt it could have been located away from the footpath and still keep noise away from the main property."

They breathed a sigh of relief as granted retrospective consent for the pump and cladding was given and the row was smoothed over. Artist Suzi is reported to have been left 'devastated' following her split from Damon, although the circumstances surrounding the rumoured separation remain unclear.

"Suzi is heartbroken at their relationship ending. Even though they have been living in the showbiz bubble where so many couples struggle, they had been together for a very long time. It is a really sad time for everyone involved," they told The Mail on Sunday.

Damon has also reportedly wrote emotional lyrics about his 25-year relationship coming to an end on Blur’s brand-new album. The album, which is titled, The Ballad of Darren, is said to have been written during the time Damon's relationship with Suzi was ending and the singer 'was not in the best of places' while penning the songs, the publication reports.

In particular, one song named 'Goodbye Albert' appears to reference the end of a long and happy relationship as the lyrics read: "Goodbye to you and me, goodbye to the shallows like refugees singing, crossed the world, we disappeared, and no one looks to see if we are coming back soon, I was not ready yet."
