Frankie Essex has shared how she was supported by a poison team after her baby boy was rushed to A&E. The former TOWIE star was left terrified when she thought her son Logan had swallowed a battery. The reality TV personality has opened up on the scary ordeal, which left her "panicking". Frankie had heard a small explosion in her living room before going to bed.

Her and partner Luke couldn't see anything and so went to sleep. Yet in the morning, the mum-of-two noticed half a battery on the floor next to Logan. She then realised it was the battery that had exploded, but couldn't find the other half. Frankie admitted how Logan likes to put things in his mouth, and so she feared he had swallowed it. The 35-year-old decided to call 111 for help. She says she was told to give him a spoon of honey every 10 minutes and to take him to A&E.

As she was on the phone, Luke ran to look for the other half of the battery. He did managed to find it, and the 111 operator said the family should still go to hospital. "The doctors monitored Logan for about three hours and he was fine, but they did have to speak to the poison team because with it being an open battery it was just a completely different scenario because normally they're closed," she told OK!.

"But the half we think he had in his mouth was the magnesium side, while it's the other side that would have been more dangerous." Frankie said when she was at the hospital, doctors told her she "didn't want to know what could have happened to him if he had swallowed the battery."

She added: "He said sometimes people just don't realise and it's already too late, and I just burst out crying. It could have just gone so differently." Frankie, who's brother is Joey Essex, says she now doesn't keep any batteries in the house unless they are being used. The couple welcomed their twins Logan and Luella last year.

However, Frankie recently shared how she was left unable to properly look after her children after suffering intense back pain."Last night was the first night I didn't cry," she explained. "I've just been so over the pain, and it's been awful not being able to look after the babies properly."

She added to her OK! column: "But I am beginning to feel a bit better, but I've got a slipped disc and it's going to take about six weeks to recover." Earlier this year, Frankie said her twins were conceived six days apart which is why they look so different. After welcoming the twins, the babies have been in and out of the hospital.

In October, little Logan was taken to A&E to have an abscess removed from his leg. Meanwhile, Luella was born with a condition called torticollis, which is a twisting of the neck that can cause the head to rotate and tilt. Speaking about why her children are so different, she said: "Some boy and girl twins can look like each other in that you can tell that they’re brother and sister, but Logan and Luella don’t look alike at all.

"When we went for our eight-week scan, Logan had a heartbeat and was a full embryo and Luella had just got her heartbeat. She was six days behind him."
