Vicky Pattison says she is “shaken up” after an Uber she and fiancé Ercan Ramadan were travelling in exploded moments after they got out.

The former Geordie Shore star shared a video of the car going up in flames on the side of the A1. “I was in that car minutes ago...” she wrote over the top of the clip. Taking to Instagram to tell fans about the “absolutely terrifying” experience, the 35-year-old said: “I actually don’t even know what to say about what’s just happened. Like, it was absolutely terrifying.

“So we were just driving along in this Uber and Ercan said the engine light was on or something. And then the car started making a really horrible noise on the A1, so the driver pulled over and there was smoke in the back of the car. The man was like, ‘Just stay in the back of the car, it’ll be fine’. Obviously we’re on the A1 so you don’t want to get out – then all of a sudden it just caught fire.”

A clearly shocked Vicky continued: “It just burst into flames and you can see from me video the whole car has exploded, like absolutely terrifying. “And were just standing there, the police come running over ‘Get back, get back’ and I’m like, ‘I’m f***ing trying.’ Dressed like this, t**s out, on the A1. It was absolutely terrifying.”

After their narrow escape, Vicky and Ercan - who were on their way to a fancy dinner at Sheesh restaurant in Chigwell – said they were stranded until a kind passer-by gave them a lift to a train station.

Vicky told her 5.4 million followers: “We just didn’t know what to do. Luckily some really nice man drove past and picked us up – his car was lovely as well, wasn’t it. Anyway we’re now at Borehamwood station twiddling our thumbs, not knowing what to do with ourselves – I’m a little bit shaken up.”

She revealed her and Ercan eventually made it to their final destination “3 cars, two hours and one near death experience later...”

In another post, she added: “And thank you Uber for charging me £50 for the privilege of nearly being BBQ’d... oh and literally being so unbothered when I repeatedly called in distress.”

Despite the trouble getting there, Vicky and Ercan still had a good night and posted snaps of their Turkish meal. In another shot Vicky stunned in a lime green suit with plunging neckline that she looked to have gone bra free in.

Giving fans an update the next day in another Instagram post, Vicky revealed Uber had since been in touch and offered her a refund for her trip. She wrote: “Last night was a mixed bag to say the least. After our terrifying brush with death, most people would have turned their back and gone home... But not this couple no. I had got ready so I was getting a pornstar martini and a chicken shish.

“Huge thank you to @sheesh_uk for having us last night though seriously – it took a good few strawberry daiquiris to calm me down put it that way. Also, for anyone invested in the story @uber phoned me this morning and assured me I’d be refunded and apologised for nearly turning me extra crispy and charging me for the privilege thing.”
