Kerry Katona has revealed her "colourful life" is set to be made into a film for Netflix. The Atomic Kitten star, 42, shared the news of her exciting new venture which will see her life story play out on the small screen.

Mum-of-five Kerry has been candid about her life throughout the years, as she has shared details of her three marriages and the death of her third husband George Kay from a cocaine overdose in 2014. She says her memoir Whole Again is set to be made into a film as she details the tough times she's been through.

Speaking on the The Matt Haycox Show podcast, she said: “I’ve had a colourful life, Matt. I’ve been married three times, divorced twice, widowed once. I’ve come from nothing, become a millionaire three times, and bankrupt twice, and now Netflix have got my life story, and want to turn it into a film. I can't say too much more yet, but watch this space!"

Kerry also gave an update on her new venture in her column. Writing in Closer, she said: "I've got two screenwriters who have copies of my book and are turning it into a film. I've been through everything, you name it, there's enough material for a sequel, or a prequel. When I was recording my audio book, I said to my producer, 'You couldn't make this s*** up, could you?' Even Stephen Spielberg couldn't write this!

"I would love for Florence Pugh to play me, she's the right height, has blonde hair and is British. She'd be great!" The media personality has admitted she often felt 'unloved' as a child and recalled how the stigma that comes with being in foster care stuck with her throughout her school years.

The former Queen of the Jungle entered the care system at the age of 13 and later stayed with four different foster families, due to the star's mum suffering with mental health issues. She also attended eight different schools as a teenager, and ended up staying in three refuges.

Kerry struggled to deal with fame after joining girl band Atomic Kitten and later battled alcohol and drug addiction. After Kerry's girlband Atomic Kitten toured alongside Westlife, it resulted in fireworks between Kerry and Brian McFadden. And just three months after meeting each other, Brian couldn't wait any longer to pop the question. But their happily ever after was not meant to be, as the pair separated in 2004 - sending shockwaves around the world.

Their messy divorce in 2006 saw Kerry turn to cocaine and booze, which was the beginning of a gruelling substance battle. Dave Cunningham - who was Kerry's childhood sweetheart - asked for her hand in marriage in 2005. But the couple never got to see their wedding day after a huge argument erupted between them during their holiday in Spain, forcing the pair to part ways.

The singer talked of finding true love with Mark Croft. She ended up marrying the taxi driver on Valentine's Day in 2007, but it was not long until the relationship turned sour. She spiraled into a deep depression soon after as she relied on drugs to help her get over her marriage woes with Mark.

When Kerry met George Kay, she hoped she would finally be able to settle down, be happy, and enjoy the family life she's been missing. They married in September 2014, but allegedly had enough of his party lifestyle and booted him out. Soon after, the pair reunited and renewed their wedding vows. But their turbulent relationship continued and in June 2017, the pair split for the final time. George tragically passed away in July 2019, aged 39, after eating 'a large quantity of cocaine' at a Holiday Inn in Cheshire.
