Johnny Depp spotted requiring crutches after fans concern over gig cancellations
Johnny Depp has been spotted arriving in Boston ahead of his Hollywood Vampires show - and had a crutch in tow to help him get by.
The actor-turned singer, 60, was seen getting off a private plane as he prepared to return to the stage following a number of gig cancellations. An ankle fracture suffered in late May led the Pirates of the Caribbean star to pull out of a number of shows, rescheduling his New Hampshire, Boston and New York tour dates.
But his latest appearance so him looking joyful once more as he wore a flat cap over the top of a bandana, with his flowing locks down to his shoulders. He also wore an eccentric combination of high-waisted smart navy trousers held up by a black belt, with tucked a checked shirt into the outfit. He left the attire unbuttoned to show of a white shirt underneath.
He finished the look with a checked large jacket and had a number of necklaces on show and opted for a pair of aviator sunglasses to protect from the glaring sun.
At the time of the first cancellation, Johnny told his Instagram followers: "My dear friends, I am sorry to say that I have fractured my ankle, which is a drag!!! It began as a hairline break but somewhere between Cannes and the Royal Albert Hall, it got worse rather than better. Several medical professionals have strongly suggested I avoid any and all activity for the moment and so am sadly unable to travel at this time."

Again, sincerest apologies. All my love and respect, JD x."
The injury was followed by several other postponements, leading to fans being concerned over the length of time it was taking for the band to get back on stage. However, earlier this month after disappointing Slovakian fans by their no-show, the band opened up on the reason they couldn't perform in the country.
In a statement released on social media, they said it was down to an "unsafe" and "incomplete" venue. At first, the show was scheduled for Olympic Fields, Zvolenska Slatina, before being rescheduled to Amphitheatre Banska Bystrica, about 30 km away according to the ticket seller website, Ticketportal.
Then the Slovakia show was announced to be cancelled on the band's website. Fans didn't notice until one fan shared a screen recording of the website. Hollywood Vampires released a statement via Instagram that said: "Upon arrival today to the venue in Slovakia to begin to set-up for tonight's performance, it quickly became clear that the construction of the facility was incomplete, and therefore unsafe for both the band and the general public."
