Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are reportedly on the hunt for answers after receiving what sources are calling a "huge kick in the teeth".

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are searching for an explantation after they were recently snubbed for an Emmy nomination for their controversial six-part Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan. All signs were pointing towards the couple winning the award after the show received record-breaking views.

Sources have claimed that Meghan and Harry feel that there must be a 'hate campaign' against them for their docuseries to miss out on the award. The show was under consideration for Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction Series with experts saying they were positive the series would win at least one nomination.

A source told Heat Magazine : "The fact they didn't get an Emmy nod is a huge kick in the teeth. They're convinced there's been an orchestrated hate campaign against them on both sides of the Atlantic, and that certain people are trying to get in on the act."

And according to the source, Prince Harry and Meghan are demanding specific names of those responsible.

The source said that the couple reportedly want to know who "put the boot in and what on earth they've got to do to catch a break".

Despite the Emmy nomination snub, the show was met with widespread success and broke Netflix's record for documentary debut with more than 81.6million hours watched within four days of airing in December of 2022. The docuseries averaged over 4.5million viewers in the first week - a shocking number that beats the viewership of both the hit shows Stranger Things and The Crown. The show is now also in consideration for the Hollywood Critics Award.
