Brits are being urged to check their lottery tickets as two lucky punters have been hailed millionaires in the latest jackpot.

The National Lottery confirmed the ticket holders matched five main numbers and a bonus ball in the 'Must Be Won' draw last Saturday. They would make up a staggering total of five millionaires after all four players bagged £1million. While another participant scored a whopping £11.6 million after matching all six numbers.

It has been nearly a week since they won the "life-changing" sum, but the two ticket holders have yet to make their claims. The winning numbers were announced as 11, 14, 20, 35, 41, 46 and the bonus ball was listed as 2.

Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at The National Lottery, said: “Have you got an unchecked Lotto ticket? Well, it could be life-changing. Whether you plan to buy a new home, or treat your loved ones to a holiday of a lifetime - we want this money in your bank account.

"Saturday’s draw ( July 22) was undoubtedly a momentous night across the UK as one winner scooped the entire £11.6M jackpot and four lucky Lotto players became millionaires! Two of which have yet to be claimed. So check your tickets and contact us as soon as possible so that we can pay out some more fantastic Lotto prizes.”

With all major prizes, the area in which the ticket was purchased is released around two weeks after the draw. A ticket holder can decide whether to go public with the news once their claim is validated. Punters have a total of 180 days from the day of the draw to claim their winnings.

If you think you have won, you can call the National Lottery on 0333 234 50 50 to make the claim. Earlier, we reported how one Brit won an eye-watering £11 million on the lottery, but is now back working a normal job.

Mark Gardiner, 61, saw his dreams come true when he and then business partner Paul Maddison, split a whopping £22,590,829 jackpot back in 1995. It saw Mark, from St Leonards-on-Sea, East Sussex, walk away with a life-changing £11 million.

But over twenty years later, Mark is back on the road working - and enjoying it - after a series of bad investments saw him lose millions and in 2004 he split from his fourth wife Brenda. Following this he vowed to never marry again - but later he did marry once more, rekindling his romance with his first wife.

But despite losing so much of his money, Mark still owns a football club - Hastings - and has a swanky holiday home in Barbados. With some of his remaining savings, the glazier put £2 million into his company Croft Glass, where he now works. As well as running the business, he also does the measuring up, surveying, and putting in orders.
