Horrified Jason Manford discovers 'most disturbing thing' about getting older
Jason Manford is poking fun at some of the changes to his body as he grows older. The comedian, 42, took to social media on Friday to reveal a "disturbing thing" he found on his body while getting ready to go to the shops.
Jason, who is currently starring as The Cowardly Lion in a production of The Wizard of Oz, told fans he "hates getting older" as he shared a video with them on Twitter. Appearing topless in the clip, Jason can be seen filming himself in a mirror as he pans the camera around his face.
"I'm just getting ready for the shop and I noticed there a little hair here and I thought 'I had my hair cut yesterday and I can't believe they've left a little hair sticking out'," the Starstruck judge begins in the video, as he gestures towards around his hair and towards his right ear.
He then goes to pull the long single hair and explains: "I went to pull it and ... it's connected to my ear! I'm going to have to get my ear permed. It's long and it's on my ear... what the f*** is going on?!?" Jason captioned the clip on Twitter: "Truly one of the most disturbing things I’ve ever found on my body! God I hate getting older [laughing face emoji]."
The star, who has appeared in numerous stage musicals in the West End and across the UK, delighted his Twitter followers with the clip on Friday, with many fans rushing to relate to the dad-of-six and share their own "horror stories" about ageing and growing older with Jason.

Next you'll have one growing out of the middle of your nose," one warned Jason underneath the star's post, as another added: "Great isn't it... The older you get, the less hair grows where it's supposed to (on your head) and starts appearing everywhere else."
"Keep it growing mate, and hopefully another will grow on the other ear, join them together! The look of envy on peeps faces," a third joked, as another fan of Jason's on Twitter replied: "I feel the pain. It’s like the hairs on the head decide 'you know what….I’m not bothering replacing any you lose' but the rest of the body decides 'I’m going to grow hairs in places that EVERYBODY else will find hilarious'."
One fan shared a more sombre story with the comic, pointing out how it is a privilege to grow old. The Twitter user penned: "I love getting older… many don’t get that privilege. Lost a lad I used to babysit a couple of weeks ago aged 44 suddenly from heart failure… I’m thankful for life every single day. Embrace all the happenings to your body Jason."
