Fans of Britain's Most Expensive Houses were quick to share their disdain for a £25million property featured in a recent episode, with one person even slamming its design as 'ugly.'

The Channel 4 series, which gives viewers a glimpse into some of the nation's swankiest properties, has never been shy on showcasing how the other half live. From palatial homes in Mayfair to 1930s mansions in Surrey, the UK property show is guaranteed to give audiences some serious house envy.

Viewers of Wednesday night's episode were left unimpressed, however, after estate agents toured a property in London's exclusive Cadogan Square. After struggling to sell the five-bedroom Knightsbridge mansion for its market price of £25 million, the realtors decided to rent it out instead - for a whopping £12,000 a month. Fans of the show were quick to express their outrage online, with many taking to Twitter to slam the eye-watering number.

"12k a month to pay the school fees. Where the f*** are they going to school," one person wrote, referring to a quip from the owner that it would "certainly pay the school fees." Another viewer said, "I can't stand the agents on this programme, awful deluded people. Talking in clichés and pronouncing their Ts like Ds."

Others were quick to blast the furnishings of the 4,500 sq ft house, which included rippled walls hailing from Italian mountains and an elegant dining room with cream furnishings. A modern kitchen with glossy black cabinets, a marble living area and a spacious suite with a view of the lush garden are all also shown in the tour. It's later revealed in the episode that the unique design was done by an award-winning Croatian architect and took 18 months to 'perfect'.

"Bit of a yacht finish there, isn't there?" the real estate agent Andrew observed, before adding that he believes the boat-like interior will appeal to a "range of nationalities."

"A yacht? How is that ugly place worth £25m when the Surrey estate is only £5m!?" one viewer tweeted, referring to another property featured in the same episode, while another said, ""Is it just me or is that 25million place in Cadogan Square feckin hideous?"
