Kym Marsh says 'it's awful here' as she escapes rainy UK with daughter Polly
Kym Marsh joked “it’s awful here” as she swapped the rainy UK for holiday in the sun with daughter Polly. The former Coronation Street and Hear’Say star took to Instagram to share a few snaps of their break abroad.
Uploading the pics to her Instagram stories, Kym told her 605,000 followers: “See ya laterrrr!!! alongside a plane emoji and a GIF that said ‘girl power’. Although she hasn’t revealed where she and youngest daughter Polly jetted off to, it wasn’t long before Kym gave fans an update from their exotic location.
The 47-year-old showed off her trim figure in a lilac cut out swimsuit as she revealed it was “chill time!!!”. In another shot Kym was lounging round the pool with nothing but the sea and clear blue skies in the background. “It’s awful here” she jokingly captioned the post followed by three laughing face emojis.

The 12-year-old is given a peace sign as she poses alongside her famous mum in the black and white snap. Kym wrote over the top: “Just the two of us. Some quality time with my girl.”
The snaps come days after Kym paid tribute to her parents Pauline and David as they celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary. Their celebration is bittersweet after it was recently revealed Kym’s dad is battling incurable cancer.

Kym wrote: “Happy wedding anniversary to these two legends! The love they have for each other is just awe inspiring! Their strength throughout their lives together, particularly right now during dad’s illness, is incredible. They really are the perfect couple. The best parents, grandparents and friends you could ever wish for. I am so very proud to be your daughter.”

In another nod to her dad, Kym revealed she had recently had a tattoo to remind her of him – an ice cream cone on her forearm. Explaining her reasons behind the unusual inking, she shared: “So…..I’ve had a new tattoo for my dad!!! Since his incurable cancer diagnosis he has been obsessed with ice cream!
"He literally has one every day! So I got an ice cream on the inside of my fore arm for him to remind me of my wonderful dad, Every time I look at it!! He’s the best ever! Love you dad."
Dave was diagnosed with incurable prostate cancer after . In June of 2021, the cancer spread to his pelvis, spine, ribs and left leg.
At the time he said his main goal was to be fit and well to walk Kym down the aisle, after she tied the knot for the third time with soldier Scott Ratcliff. But the pair have since split after 18 months as husband and wife with Kym saying: “It’s just experience.”
Before Scott, Kym was married to Jamie Lomas for two years from 2012 to 2014 and former EastEnders star Jack Ryder from 2002 to 2009. As well as Polly she has older children David, 28, and Emilie, 26, from a previous relationship.
