Kristen Bell red-faced as daughter asks for non-alcoholic beer in restaurant

American actress Kristen Bell has candidly revealed that she has long let her young daughters drink non-alcoholic beer in the privacy of their own home, with her even revealing a very embarrassing moment she once endured.

The Good Place star, 43, and her husband, actor and recovering addict host Dax Shepard, are parents of two daughters, Lincoln, 10, and Delta, 8. And recently, she revealed their non-alcoholic drinking habits on American television.

Appearing on The Kelly Clarkson Show, the Frozen actress revealed that she lets her kids drink non-alcoholic beer at home, with her eldest even requesting the drink while out for dinner at a fancy restaurant.

Speaking to Kelly, Kristen explained how her husband, who is a recovering addict, "likes non-alcoholic beer", she then explained: "So he’d pop one [a non-alcoholic beer] open, he’d have [Lincoln] on his chest, and we’d walk and look at the sunset". She added that as a baby, Lincoln would be "pawing" at the bottle and would sometimes "suck the rim of it".

"So, I think it feels to her like something special, something daddy, something family," she admitted on the talk show.

She then revealed something that once left her very red-faced when she candidly spilled: "We’ve been at restaurants where she’s said, ‘Do you have any non-alcoholic beer?’ and I’m like, ‘Maybe we just keep that for home time'.

"But then I’m also sort of like, ‘You can judge me if you want, I’m not doing anything wrong. Like, that’s your problem.’"

Kristen and her husband Dax began dating back in 2007, with them announcing their engagement in 2010. The couple then delated their marriage until the state of California passed legislation on legalising same-sex marriage, and when this happened in 2013, Kristen then asked Dax to marry her via Twitter.

The couple then got married at the Beverly Hills County Clerk's Office in the fall of 2013.

Dax has long battled addiction, with him speaking candidly of it in 2012. He told Playboy: "From 18 to 29 I was a heavy smoker, heavy drinker, drug addict, terrible eater and philanderer. The past eight years, since I got sober, have honestly been about trying to peel back each of those habits, to get back to the 12-year-old kid inside who was tremendously excited about life."
