Sky launches new Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 & Fold5 deal but there's a catch
Sky has launched a new Samsung Galaxy Z deal to celebrate the new range but shoppers need to be aware of a pricey catch.
Sky Mobile has launched their pre-order deals for the all new Samsung Galaxy range which will officially be launched in the UK on August 11, including the much-anticipated Z Flip5 and the Galaxy Z Fold5. All three of the latest Galaxy S9 Tablets will also be available to pre-order.
Shoppers who opt to buy the deals from Sky, which went live on their website on Wednesday, July 26, can double the storage for the Galaxy Z Flip5 and Fold5 - but there's one important detail that won't be included in the handset offers.
Customers who want to buy the new handsets will have to pay extra for their data allowance if they choose to go with Sky Mobile. Data plans on Sky for the new Samsung range is at 24 months - however, customers can also double their data across the full Samsung range - with offers of 24GB for £12, which is an extra 12GB, or 100GB for £20, for an extra 50GB of data, for no extra cost.
Pricing for the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 starts from £37 a month and £59 a month for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5, both with unlimited calls and texts on a 36 month contract. Shoppers can also opt to buy a Sky Mobile SIM deal for £8 for 4GB of data, 10GB for £10, 24GB for £12, and 100GB for £20.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 comes in a range of colours including, mint, cream, lavender and graphite, with features such as:

- A 2 X12 MP camera, with a pro grade selfie mode for brighter shots and Real Tone to ensure skin is true to life no matter the lighting.
- Made with gorilla glass and armour aluminium, and IPX8 water resistant, ensuring protection against inevitable spills and knocks.
- Powerful all-day battery life, for stress-free scrolling, texting, and calling.
Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5, comes in Icy Blue, Phantom Black and Cream colours, with features including:
- The Z Fold5 is thinner and lighter than the Z Fold4, with a new zero hinge gap.
- Enhanced battery performance with cooling technology.
- Kitted with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, giving improved all round performance.
- Dual split screen to play multiple games or chat and play at the same time.
All three of the latest Galaxy S9 Tablets are also available to pre-order now with Sky Mobile. The S9 and S9+ has a dynamic AMOLED 2X display, enhanced S Pen, a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth gaming, and IP68* water-resistant protection. The S9 starts at £24 a month while the S9+ starts at £28 a month.
Those who want the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra will need to pay £34 a month and will get an expansive 14.6-inch dynamic AMOLED 2X display, auto framing technology, an enhanced S Pen, with 4,000 levels of pressure sensitivity, for a realistic pen to paper experience, powerful Snapdragon® 8 Gen 2 processor for smoother multitasking capability, 120Hz display rate, meaning the screen can refresh itself 120 times a second, for high quality gameplay.
Sky Mobile say their data offers are available only on selected data plans for 24 months, and the Samsung pre-orders will be available between July 26 and August 10, 2023. The double the storage deal when customers pre-order a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 256GB or Z Flip5 256GB handset, receiving the 512GB variants for no extra cost, will end on August 10 at 11.59pm, while the double the data deal available on the 12GB and 50GB data plans, will end on August 10 at 11.59pm.
