Rob Lowe shares rare throwback snap of him with George Michael and Demi Moore

Rob Lowe was feeling the faith as he posted a photo on Instagram of him, George Michael, and Demi Moore.

The Parks & Recreation actor posted the photo with the caption: "When you say: '80s,' I say..." The photo showed the actor standing with Demi on his left and George on his right.

The Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go singer was wearing a black open shirt showing off his chest, black suspenders, a black belt, and black pants. Rob was wearing a white shirt with blue jeans, a lanyard around his neck, and a George Michael "Faith" tour sticker on his shirt. Demi wore a navy blazer in the photo.

The snap was taken backstage at one of George's concerts. Assuming it was The Faith Tour, based on Rob's sticker in the photo, the photo was probably taken either in 1988 or 1989 when the tour was going on.

Demi and Rob starred together in the 1985 blockbuster movie, St. Elmo's Fire, along with actors such as Emilio Estevez and Judd Nelson.

He credits Demi as an inspiration for his sobriety. "I just remember thinking, 'If that girl can get sober, anybody can," Rob said while appearing on The View in 2019. Rob has been sober since 1990, calling it "the best decision of my life."

His son, John, commented on the throwback post: "You're old."

Rob has two sons, John and Matthew, with jewellery maker Sheryl Lowe. The 59-year-old actor recently posted an anniversary tribute to his wife celebrating their 32nd anniversary. Rob wrote: "I am SO grateful for the day she said she'd join me on our amazing life journey together."

He also calls his wife a "beautiful, inspiring, nurturing, strong, industrious, sex, and wonderfully unique woman." The couple met on a blind date in 1983.

John has followed in his famous father's footsteps, making a few acting appearances since 2015. He recently starred with his father in the comedy series Unstable on Netflix.

Recently, Netflix released the music documentary Wham! about the band made up of George and Andrew Ridgeley. George sadly passed at the age of 53 on Christmas Day 2016.
