'I tried Pizza Hut's biggest ever slice - it turns out size really does matter'
Have you ever gone to share a pizza and found there just isn't enough to go around? Or you're just really hungry and want a massive pizza to yourself?
Well you might want to visit Pizza Hut because it has today launched its biggest ever pizza - coming in at a whopping 16 inches. If you're struggling to picture how big that actually is, it's three inches bigger than the current large.
Really, it's huge. Take my word for it, because I gave it a go on launch day. What makes this pizza feel even bigger is that it's cut into six gigantic slices, as opposed to the usual 12 slices. One slice is bigger than my relatively-normal sized head. But when it comes to pizza, is bigger, better? I set out to find out.
Available in Big New Yorker Margherita, the Big New Yorker Pepperoni Feast as well as the Big New Yorker Create Your Own, I couldn't wait to give it a go. And it turns out in this case, yes, bigger is better.
It's kind of reignited my love for Pizza Hut, which I hadn't been to or ordered from in a long time. I love a New York-style, massive pizza slice, so this was right up my street. But when I picture an American pizza slice, I picture a really sloppy, floppy slice, which, don't get me wrong, can be delicious - but messy.

There more than enough topping to fill the huge base, which is hand-stretched and sourdough style. There's enough sauce, cheese and pepperoni, without it being messy. It's quite a firm base and crispy, so when you hold it, it doesn't flop. The pepperoni is perfectly crispy, without being burnt.
Pepperoni pizzas are my favourite, so this is one I would order again and again. In fact, I love it more than their Pepperoni Feast pizza. There's something about the flavours, the seasoning and the base that makes a delicious combo. They've really upped their game with this style of pizza.
Next, I tried the Margherita, and I'm not the biggest fan of the cheesy pizza in general, simply because I can never say no to other toppings, but I have to say this one is pretty tasty. It's nothing crazy, but it's juicy and flavoursome - again without being too messy or oily. I think one of the reasons is the garlicky seasoning they put on the crust and pizza itself - it's really addictive.
Practically speaking, I'd say one slice equals two normal ones - so I was pretty stuffed after having two - but I wish I could have kept going.
What makes this pizza even more alluring is the price. The Big New Yorker costs from £13.99 for collection and £15.99 for delivery, which is pretty epic for a 16-inch pizza. Dine-in varies depending on the restaurant.
The Big New Yorker is available at select Pizza Stores for dine in and delivery from July 24.
