The man supporters once dubbed "Captain America" down the years is currently back in his homeland on a pre-season tour with his new club after making the switch this summer following a nightmarish couple of seasons at Stamford Bridge. The 24-year-old had been deemed surplus to requirements by new Blues boss Mauricio Pochettino and the Blues decided to cash in on the winger after he fell down the pecking order.

A move to the San Siro beckoned for the 60-time international to the tune of £17 million ($22 million) as he looks to reignite the form of his early career in Serie A. The former Borussia Dortmund prospect was something of a forgotten man at Chelsea towards the end of his spell but his two assists on his unofficial debut did demonstrate his talents.

The USMNT fan-favourite opened up on his excitement for this new chapter in his career with the seven-time European champions, saying: "I haven't been able to express myself at my best in recent seasons at Chelsea, but now I've moved on and I want to get back to my level."
