Fulham boss Marco Silva has confirmed he’s considered an offer to quit Fulham - but refused to reveal his answer.

The Portuguese head coach has been offered £40million over two years by Al-Ahli, while star striker Alexander Mitrovic is wanted by Al-Hilal in a £52m deal.

Silva admitted on Saturday night that he had been given an offer to consider this week, and said he had told Fulham his answer… then wouldn’t say either way what it was.‌

Silva says it is only natural for rivals to come knocking on his and his players' doors after the excellent season - and said he’d had “two of three” chances to leave last term but always stayed loyal.

Asked if he’d had a personal offer to consider, Silva said: “Yes.”

Asked if he’d been given an answer he replied: “Yes. I answered for my club.”

Was the answer no? “I won’t talk about the situation. I don’t come here to talk about offers. I will not lie to you if I receive an offer.”

“I don’t use words, I do with actions and my staff. About interest from other clubs and rumours about myself it is not the first time. Last time, official offer, during last season as well, two-three times, and I didn’t speak about that situation and I did actions and commitment on a daily basis. Commitment is clear.

“It has been an unusual week for us. I will not mention Mitro. Some of our players have interest from other clubs and not just the manager.

"This is a consequence of our great season last year. We did so so well, then the market opens, and it is natural for a club like us to have this. We'll deal with it the best way it can.

“We are focused but when you are doing something with 13-14 senior players that is what concerns me above the other things.

“I am under contract with Fulham. The situation is the same as last May or June.”

“The market is difficult, not easy for anyone. We are in a situation like others who want to get the best players we can. I would like to build on last season and the great success and use the pre season.”
