Kourtney Kardashian's husband Travis and ex Scott Disick on 'hostile' terms
Kourtney Kardashian's baby daddies Travis Barker and Scott Disick "aren't on friendly terms" but that's no surprise to our relationship experts.
Last year, just months before their Italian wedding, sources revealed that Scott "can't stand being around Travis" and actually "despises" the Blink 182 drummer, but "adores his kids and would do anything to make them happy," after he was spotted hanging out with the newlyweds to be.
Amid Kourtney and Travis' baby news, we spoke to relationship expert Courtney Boyer about her thoughts on the family dynamic, especially since Scott remains close with the family for the sake of his kids and his unusual friendship with Kourtney's younger sister Khloe.
"I absolutely expect tension. Whenever a person’s role is threatened, they fight like hell to keep their place secure, but you can’t do it overtly because then you look desperate," Courtney exclusively told us.
"So I imagine Scott will engage in a lot of passive-aggressive behaviors, including instilling doubt in Travis’ parenting abilities or even role as a good husband."
Kim Kardashian weighs in on sister feud after Kourtney's sad 'outsider' claimsShe went on to note that she believes the dynamics between Kourtney's former long-term flame and Travis are "hostile" as the latter takes on a protective role over his new family.
"I imagine the dynamics to be quite awkward and even hostile. Travis wants to protect what his new family, especially with a biological child on the way, and will likely do anything to ensure their safety and stability."
It comes after sources close to Scott admitted that he feels like Kourtney was "the one that got away" and that he know he's "not going to find someone like Kourtney."
“He feels like Kourtney was the one that got away and [he] still can’t wrap his head around the fact that they’re getting married soon,” the source adds. “He feels like he’s not going to find someone like Kourtney," the insider told Us Weekly.
Scott dated the Poosh owner on and off for nearly a decade, with their highs and lows being documented on Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Together, they co-parent their three children, Mason, 13, Penelope, 11 and Reign, 8.
