The Love Island villa could be torn apart in the next episode of the series, as several Islanders face drama and tears. The fallout to Ella and Whitney's row leaves one of them sobbing.

Whitney had called Ella "selfish", while Ella had named Whitney and Lochan the smuggest couple during the challenge earlier in the day. Ella said it was "an attack on her character", while Whitney took the "smug" comment as her being labelled "unhumble".

Ella cries to some of the other girls as she questions whether her villa pal actually likes her as a friend. Meanwhile, Ella's partner Tyrique wastes no time in confronting Scott over his own couple drama.

Scott was accused of playing up his feelings for Abi, with several of the other couples believing he doesn't actually like her. In the next episode Tyrique risks another villa row as he challenges Scott, just like he did weeks ago regarding a different romance.

Tyrique grills Scott on his pairing with Abi and whether he really likes her, with Scott defending himself. As the drama rumbles on just weeks before the final, it could see several friendships broken apart.

The preview for the next episode sees Tyrique ask Scott: "Do you care about Abi?" before admitting he doesn't believe his co-star cares about the girl he is coupled up with. Meanwhile, Ella tearfully tells Molly and Jess: "That conversation really showed me that I feel like you don't actually like me, do you know what I mean?"

It comes after a brutal dumping twist on Tuesday night just weeks before the live final. Four stars were axed from the villa, as announced by Host Maya Jama.

The Islanders were partying with singer Rita Ora at the villa beach party, taking place in the second villa - also used for Casa Amor. But Kady McDermott, Ouzy See, Amber Wise and Josh Brocklebank were soon sent packing - with their being a huge twist.

The public were asked to vote for their favourite couple, with the three couples with the least votes left at risk of being dumped from the island. Maya headed into the party to tell the Islanders the result of this vote.

Maya told the cast: "Well Islanders, the public have been voting for their favourite couple. We’re going to do things a little bit differently this time - you know we love a plot twist."

The host revealed who the public voted as their favourite couple, confirming it to be Whitney and Lochan before adding: "I have some more news that might not be that great. The three couples with the least amount of votes will be vulnerable and at risk of being dumped from the island tonight."

It soon emerged that one couple would be sent home then and there as the lowest voted couple, and this was Amber and Josh.

Whitney and Lochan then had to decide who to send packing out of the remaining couples, and they sent home Kady and Ouzy. Mitchel Taylor and Ella B were also in the bottom three.

Love Island airs every night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
