Sam Smith looked extremely content as they took a sunny stroll with their rumoured boyfriend Christian Cowan, with the potential couple even donning matching ensembles.

The pair were seen enjoying a leisurely stroll through the bustling streets of New York City this week, both radiating happiness and togetherness. While on their short stroll, both Sam and Christian wore matching black tank tops and shorts.

British hitmaker Sam, 31, wore some chunky tan-coloured lace-up boots with their black ensemble, while Christian, 27, wore what looked like hiking shoes and socks. The singer donned a baseball cap and the pair were seen looking totally laidback as they wandered around the city.

Sam showed off their arm and leg tattoos, while Christian flashed a grin with his hands on his hips while his blond hair billowed in the wind. Fans have reacted to the images online, with one writing on Twitter: "Aaaah how cute they are together."

This comes just mere days after the duo were spotted again in the city, with Sam rocking a tennis skirt and looking incredibly chic in the process. They teamed the floaty garment with a white vest and some brown boots. Fans reacted to the snaps at the time, with one writing: "So pretty."

Both Sam and Christian have left fans and social media users speculating over their alleged romance in recent weeks and months as they continue to step out together. They have not confirmed their romance, but they do appear to be very comfortable in each other's company.

Earlier on in the year the pair attended the Some Like It Hot Broadway production, with them also attending New York City's Pride event in matching ensembles. And back in January, Sam was spotted planting a kiss on Christian's head after they strolled through SoHo arm in arm.

Sam is a globally known and adored artist, who is famed for crooning hits Stay With Me and recent smash hit Unholy. Meanwhile, their rumoured boyfriend Christian Cowan is a designer who founded his fashion label in 2016 after graduating from London College of Fashion in the same year.

Although Sam has been linked to various famous faces - past and present - the singer has in the past spoken out about falling in love in the past and how they don't play by the rule book.

Sam previously spilled to The Sun: "I've never really kind of played by the rule book. I love people and whoever I fall for, that's who I fall for. I don't know who that's going to be. Now I don't know what gender they will be, to be quite honest, and that's a freeing thing - to not be limited to one category of person. I just fall in love with whoever I fall in love with."
