Coronation Street favourite Jennie McAlpine looks worlds away from the teenager we adored when she first stepped foot on the cobbles way back in 2001.

Fast forward 22 years, two children and even an I’m A Celeb stint, the soap staple has a whole new lease of life.

After shifting a huge amount of weight, she has wowed us all with her transformation - and she has a lot to thank a video game for!

Jennie used a simple diet tip to help her drop three dress sizes - and although the Fiz actress has been open about her incredible new look, she has revealed that she doesn’t like discussing body image.

Playing the energetic boxing game on the Wii console has helped keep herself in great shape - as did ditching crisps and ice cream.

Jennie said: "I don’t go in for all the diet plans and worrying yourself silly over how much you weigh.

“Ice cream is bad, salad is good – it’s not rocket science."

The soap star continued: "If you eat more of the good stuff and take more exercise then you’ll lose weight.”

Jennie said that she did not 'over-worry' about the diet and kept it simple and is pleased that this has led to her dropping three dress sizes.
