Love Island 's Scott and Mitch will clash in upcoming scenes, as drama between the men and Abi takes another turn. Fans of the show know that Abi and Mitch have been caught up in an awkward spat over the last week.

Mitch moved on from Abi with new girl Ella B, with Abi opting for Scott. Abi had been getting to know both boys, while suggesting Mitch was her number one.

That said, when Mitch began to get to know new girl Ella, Abi was furious - and eventually Ella chose to couple up with Mitch, stealing him from Abi. Abi then claimed Scott was the one for her, and since then both Mitch and Abi have thrown digs at each other over their past romance.

Things continued to get awkward this week after Abi claimed Mitch didn't actually like Ella and didn't see a future with her. Abi was in tears as she was accused of being bitter.

Things escalate once more on Thursday though, and this time it's Scott getting involved. He and Mitch are set to clash over events with Abi during a brutal challenge.

A teaser clip for the next episode sees the couples deciding which of them are genuine, and who is compatible amongst other things.

Mitch is heard suggesting Abi and Scott are fake, and that they are only together because "he didn't want Abi". Scott hits back at this though and takes aim at Mitch, who struggled to find romance for the first half of the series.

He quips: "The only reason none of us wanted to get to know Abi is because we felt sorry for you. You've been single for three weeks."

It comes after a brutal dumping twist on Tuesday night just weeks before the live final. Four stars were axed from the villa, as announced by Host Maya Jama.

The Islanders were partying with singer Rita Ora at the villa beach party, taking place in the second villa - also used for Casa Amor. But Kady McDermott, Ouzy See, Amber Wise and Josh Brocklebank were soon sent packing.

The public were asked to vote for their favourite couple, with the three couples with the least votes left at risk of being dumped from the island. Maya headed into the party to tell the Islanders the result of this vote.

Maya told the cast: "Well Islanders, the public have been voting for their favourite couple. We’re going to do things a little bit differently this time - you know we love a plot twist."

The host revealed who the public voted as their favourite couple, confirming it to be Whitney and Lochan before adding: "I have some more news that might not be that great. The three couples with the least amount of votes will be vulnerable and at risk of being dumped from the island tonight."

It soon emerged that one couple would be sent home then and there as the lowest voted couple, and this was Amber and Josh.

Whitney and Lochan then had to decide who to send packing out of the remaining couples, and they sent home Kady and Ouzy. Mitchel and Ella B were also in the bottom three.
