Ticketmaster responds to policy change for Taylor Swift Eras Tour
Taylor Swift fans have been reaching out on social media looking for clarification on a policy change on the Ticketmaster website.
It appears that the 'lead booker' policy has suddenly been applied to all Taylor Swift Eras tour dates across the UK next summer, a change which could have dramatic implications for all ticketholders.
Simply put, the policy means that the cardholder will need to be physically present and attend the event in person in order for the other members of their party to also be allowed in.
This could, of course, present huge problems for fans who relied on parents, friends or family members to purchase tickets on their behalf, while having no intention of attending the show themselves.
Fans were up in arms on social media yesterday as they noticed that all UK Eras tour dates have now been designated as being "Lead Booker Events" on the Ticketmaster website - a marked change from the pre-sale event.

"All members of the party should enter the venue at the same time. Each ticket holder must be in possession of their ticket on their smart device."
"We advise that if you can't attend the event, that you don't book tickets as a gift for someone else. If the lead booker has to attend for your event, this will be made clear on our website when you book."
Many fans continue to claim that when they booked tickets the tour was not listed as a lead booker-only event and are upset that regardless of whether tickets were purchased in the pre-sale or general sale, all tickets will now be affected.
When asked why the change had been made, a representative from Ticketmaster said: "The lead booker event policy is determined by the promoter, not Ticketmaster."
As fans desperately seek further clarification on social media, AEG have yet to comment.
