Love Island USA rocked by 'stick-or-twist' reveal leaving Islanders aghast
Sarah Hyland opened the first coupling of Love Island USA with a show reveal never before seen on the US series - stick or twist.
The game, which is similar to that seen in UK version of the show, has the first boy standing on a heart and all the girls join him. As the second boy comes out, the girls can either choose to 'stick' with the boy they're with or 'twist' over to the new boy.
The first boy to come out was Leonardo, a Dominican man who had all the girls flock around him since he was the only option. Eventually, in the end, Leonardo had to choose between Kassy and Anna. He chose the former because of their Latin connection, which left Anna stunned.
But that all changed when Marco came out. Destiny and Jasmine joined Marco on his heart. Anna didn't move towards him, recognising the fellow Floridian from her gym.
"You can't have them all, it's not Pokemon," Leonardo told Marco as some girls migrated away towards him. From the two girls, Marco chose Destiny.
Love Island USA couples that are still together - and there aren't manyNo one 'twisted' for Victor, a Spaniard now living in Atlanta. Kassy explained her reason for not twisting to him as she admitted: "You look like my sister's ex!"
Keenan was obviously ecstatic as Kay Kay moved for him. "She's exactly what I wanted," Keenan said.
Kay Kay agreed, saying: "I knew it from the jump."
The final boy, Bergie, similar to Victor didn't have any girls twist for him.
As Anna and Jasmine were not picked, Victor got the first choice of who he wanted to be partnered with. He chose Jasmine, leaving Anna coupled with Bergie.
Bergie was ecstatic to have Anna to couple up with, calling her his "dream woman". Anna didn't seem as excited, showing more interest in Leonardo.
Anna pulled Leonardo aside to tell him he was her top choice and he admitted he's keeping his options open even though he's coupled with Kassie.
The couples later had to vote on which couple they deemed was the least compatible, with Bergie and Anna receiving the most nominations.
Love Island airs every day at 9pm EST on Peacock.
