Vanessa Hudgens hits Warner Bros picket line amid SAG-AFTRA strike
Actress Vanessa Hudgens was seen Tuesday at Warner Bros. studios, joining fellow actors as they strike for for fairer pay and working conditions.
The actress donned a woven, big-brimmed sunhat, big tinted sunglasses, white pants, and a white shirt with the words "SAG-AFTRA strong" on it. She also held up a sign with the union's logo on it and the words "SAG-AFTRA on strike!"
The High School Musical star also posted a picture of herself posing with fellow actresses Rosario Dawson and Alexandra Shipp on Instagram with the caption: "Union strong."
Last week, SAG-AFTRA president Fran Drescher announced the union did not reach a compromise with the AMPTP, theAlliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers. The SAG-AFTRA national board voted unanimously to strike.
Hudgens also posted a photo of her on her Instagram captioned: "union strong" (SplashNews.com)"They plead poverty, that they’re losing money left and right when giving hundreds of millions of dollars to their CEOs. It is disgusting — shame on them," Drescher said, speaking about the AMPTP.

SAG-AFTRA isn't the only union in Hollywood striking, the Writers Guild of America has been on strike since May, leading to no new seasons being written for scripted shows and late-night television to stop filming. This is the first time in over 60 years that both unions have been on strike.
Vanessa isn't the only celebrity who's been spotted at the picket line. Kevin Bacon, George Clooney, Jason Sudeikis, and Allison Janney are just a few who've appeared on the front lines to support the cause.
George Clooney said in a statement: "This is an inflection point in our industry. Actors and writers in large numbers have lost their ability to make a living. For our industry to survive that has to change. For actors, that journey starts now."
SAG-AFTRA joined WGA in striking with this being the first time both unions are striking together in 60 years (SplashNews.com)Other celebrities have shown their support for the strike, such as Matilda actress Mara Wilson who claimed she's never made enough money for health care while being in show business.
Wilson took to Twitter to share that "thanks to streaming, I have never once made enough to qualify for SAG-AFTRA healthcare."
The cast of Oppenheimer was at their London premiere when the decision to strike was announced. In solidarity, the actors left the premiere early to "go and write their picket signs."
Some television shows aren't affected by the strike, such as The View. Whoopi Goldberg addressed their continuation on the show, saying: "We work under a different kind of contract, which is called the Network Code, which means we are allowed to continue on."
