Love Island USA's Sarah Hyland's life - Modern Family fame to Bachelor husband
Sarah Hyland has gone through a lot of ups and downs during her career in show business.
Since August 2022, Sarah has hosted Love Island USA. And while this is her most recent gig, she's been in various other television shows and movies.
The 32-year-old took her first acting role in 1997 when she was cast in Private Parts, a comedy based on Howard Stern's memoir, where she played Stern's daughter.
Sarah rose to prominence as the daft eldest daughter, Haley Dunphy, in Modern Family. She was a fan favourite throughout the series run from 2009 to 2020. Alongside the rest of the cast, she won the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series for four years straight.

As a child, Sarah was diagnosed with kidney dysplasia. In 2012, she received a kidney transplant from her father. After a few years, her body rejected the kidney. Sarah has stated that she blamed herself for the kidney not working.
In 2017, she had another transplant this time from her brother. She takes anti-rejection medicine to make sure that this kidney does not fail.
In 2011, Sarah co-starred in the Disney Channel Original Film Geek Charming with Matt Prokop. Prokop and Sarah started dating when they met filming the film a year prior.

Sarah has had two separate kidney transplants (Getty Images for CMT)The two dated until in August 2014 Sarah obtained a restraining order against her ex-boyfriend for domestic abuse, both physical and emotional, throughout their relationship. After the news went public of his abuse, Prokop has not worked in the film or television industry since.
The actress eventually found her Prince Charming in 2017 when she met Wells Adams. Wells is a former contestant on The Bachelorette and its spin-off show Bachelor in Paradise. He proposed to Sarah in July 2019 and they planned to wed a year later.
However, COVID-19 had other plans. Due to the pandemic, the wedding was postponed again and again. Finally, the two wed in a California vineyard on 20 August 2022.
