Strictly Come Dancing 'signs up' Corrie star as she bounces back from soap exit
Coronation Street star Ellie Leach has reportedly signed up for the next series of Strictly Come Dancing.
The soap star is best known for her role as Faye Windass. She joined the cobbles in 2011 and announced she was leaving in April this year.
Joining the show at only nine years old, her character has tackled hard-hitting storylines like her character being diagnosed with premature menopause, being the victim and perpetrator of bullying and falling pregnant at the age of 13.
In May, it was also reported that she split up with her boyfriend Reagan Pettman after five years of dating.
With many changes in her life, a source recently claimed Strictly can be a 'part of opening up a new chapter' for the star.

The insider said: "This could be just the tonic for Ellie, who’s had some huge life changes this year and could do with something fresh to focus on."
She joined Coronation Street in 2011Speaking to The Sun, they added: "The dance contest will also give her a chance to get glammed up in a way which she rarely did on the cobbles of Weatherfield as Faye was a comparatively frumpy character."
Mirror has contacted the BBC and Ellie Leach's reps for comment.
Earlier this year, Ellie confessed it is "really crazy" to think she won't be part of Coronation Street.
"It's a little bit crazy actually - really crazy," Ellie told the Mirror.
"It is scary but I think it's just a crazy situation."
When discussing her departure from the soap, she added that she wanted to enjoy a well-deserved break after working for so many years.

It comes after she 'broke up' with her boyfriend (Instagram)"To be honest, I've been working since I was nine years old so I'm going to go on holiday for a little bit. I think I'm going to do a little bit of a holiday and just do a little bit of travelling," the actress said.
"I don't have a particular dream role [in mind for the future] but I love the leading women roles in a rom-com, or like a rom-com series. I'm literally rom-com obsessed!"
Meanwhile, Ellie has also been dealing with a breakup.

A source told The Sun: "Ellie has the world at her feet after stepping away from Corrie and she has taken time to reflect on which direction her life is going in.
"Ellie and Reagan decided to call things a day and she is making the most of her single status."
