The second general sale ticket launched today for Taylor Swift's UK Eras Tour for shows in Liverpool and London but many fans are still on the waitlist.

Lucky fans who had received a registration place were able to buy tickets for either Wembley Stadium in London or Liverpool's Anfield Stadium for Swift's shows next summer. Thousands are still yet to hear from their ticket provider about their chances of even being able to participate in today's sale.

Fraught with anticipation, fans of Taylor Swift - aka Swifties - eagerly took to Ticketmaster and AXS on both yesterday and today to secure tickets to see their idol at various selected venues, with many fans being left disappointed as tickets sold out in super fast time.

Today, fans who were lucky enough to receive a registration code were able to take part in general sales for selected dates, with sale launches starting at 11am, 1pm and 3pm. Ticket sales were staggered across the day to ensure that more Taylor fans are were with a chance of getting the tickets they crave.

The first batch of tickets went live at 11am for the June 22 show at Wembley Arena and the June, 14 show at Liverpool's Anfield. At 1pm tickets went go on sale for the August 16 show at Wembley and the June 14 show at Anfield. Then, at 3pm fans were able to purchase tickets for the June 15 date at Anfield.

Fans were reminded to make sure that they have received an email from either Ticketmaster or AXS containing their unique access code to be able to gain entry to the queue for tickets, as they would not have been able to enter the queue or buy tickets without one.

Those who did not receive an access code may still receive an email advising them that they are on a waitlist and should keep their eye peeled for further instructions once the general sale has ended.

Sounds complicated? We were on hand every step of the way to give you the best chance of bagging those Taylor tickets.

Taylor Swift sells out London and Liverpool

Well, what a day that was!

All tickets for both venues are reportedly now sold out, as fans battled more bot scares, slow queues and higher-than-expected ticket prices.

Will that pesky "lead booker" rule on Ticketmaster become a problem? We've reached out to Ticketmaster, and await a response.

In the meantime, you can read more about it here.

In the meantime, we'll be back again in the morning as we prepare for the final day of the general sale for tickets for London, Cardiff and Edinburgh

Liverpool, Anfield now sold out!

As we have come to expect with these ticket launches, venues don't take long to sell out.

This afternoon saw the ticket allocation at Anfield sell out super quickly, with fans disappointed by the lack of "affordable" ticket prices.

Did you get the ticket you wanted?

Only VIP tickets are left at Anfield

30 minutes after the sale started and many fans have taken to social media to report that there are only VIP packages left at Anfield.

Costing as much as £661 a pop, many of these "VIP" packages are seated very high up to the right and left-hand side of the stage, meaning they may not give you the VIP experience you would be hoping for.

Some fans have thoughts on this matter....

More than 6,000 fans currently in the queue on Ticketmaster

Fans are sharing their queue positions on Twitter.

According to @georgin81545164, there are almost 6,500 people head at the moment and the Twitter user is concerned that tickets will sell out before they reach the end of the queue.

We have seen much bigger queues to be fair - stay strong!

3pm ticket for Liverpool, Anfield sale now live!

This is your last chance to get tickets for the June, 15 date!

Good luck Swifties!

10 minutes to go

The final ticket launch of the day starts at 3pm.

Fans who received a unique code by email will be able to purchase tickets for:

  • June, 15 - Liverpool, Anfield only

Are you ready?

Don't forget these top tips:

  • Make sure you are logged into your Ticketmaster or AXS account well in advance
  • Only use one browser as logging in multiple times could hinder your progress
  • Make sure your payments details are close at hand so you can whizz through the checkout
  • Leave your browser open until the order is confirmed

Important Information for ticket holders - you will need to arrive together

Fans are being issued with a stark warning that failing to arrive with the "lead booker" - the person who purchased the tickets on your behalf - could see ticketholders turned away at the door.

A fan account for UK & Ireland Eras Tours on Twitter shared a screenshot confirming that all UK dates are "lead booker events" and as such, tickets are non-transferable.

What does this mean for lucky ticket holders?

According to Ticketmaster, the lead booker will need to be available and at any point be able to provide information including:

  • The physical event ticket (if paper tickets have been issued for the event).
  • The booking confirmation.
  • A valid photo ID matching the customer name on the booking confirmation and the credit card.

Ticketmaster said on their site: “When arriving in groups, the lead booker must be present in order for the whole party to enter the venue. All members of the party should enter the venue at the same time. Each ticket holder must be in possession of their ticket on their smart device."

It even goes as far as to say that people should not purchase tickets as gifts if they are not going to be at the event with the lucky recipient.

What do you guys think? This could make things difficult for some fans who have already paid for their tickets.

VIP only left for the 1pm sale now

HI - Laura here! I'll be taking over for the blog for the afternoon.

I would love to hear how you have found the general sales today - did you get the tickets you wanted?

Seems like there are only VIP packages left now ahead of the 3pm sale - but I'll keep you posted if I hear different.

'The cheapest was £273 VIP tickets for Liverpool'

My sister is one of many dissapointed fans who didn't get tickets for Liverpool today.

This is the text I just got from her.... a bit out of her budget.

Taylor Swift fans call for Glastonbury style ticketing system

Frustrated Swifties took to social media to share their disappointment with the complicated pre-registration ticketing system which left many genuine fans empty-handed.

With strict rules applied to sales on both Ticketmaster and AXS, fans were hoping for a smooth ride but were instead confronted with slow-moving queues and website issues.

Our ticket guru Laura Udall has looked into the extortionate resale prices. You can read the full story here: Taylor Swift fans call for Glastonbury-style ticketing system after general sales are plagued by touts

Fans can only get VIP tickets for Anfield

Fans report tickets are now sold out for both Anfield and Wembley

I'm seeing a lot of tweets from fans saying tickets are now sold out for BOTH shows.

We'll keep an eye on it and come back once we've verified. Until now, hold on tight!

Viagogo lists Anfield tickets for £767 in stadium section that's NOT for sale on Ticketmaster

It takes just one search on Twitter to see the hundreds of 'fans' reselling their Eras Tour tickets, at a huge profit too.

Now, third-party reseller site, Viagogo is listing tickets in section AL9 for £767 - in a section of Anfield Stadium which sits nearly directly behind the main stage.

Taylor Swift tickets sell out for London and LiverpoolThe listing on Viagogo

We saw the same thing happen yesterday with the London and Edinburgh sale, where third-party sellers used Viagogo's platform to sell tickets for more than £2,000. You can read more about it here:Seating plan image shows Taylor Swift Wembley ticket go for whopping £2,950

After approaching Viagogo for comment, a spokesperson said: "The European leg of Taylor Swift’s Eras tour has been long anticipated. We’ve not seen anything like this since The Beatles and with tickets having only just gone on sale, demand is at its peak right now.

“Viagogo is a regulated marketplace where fans have the freedom to buy and sell tickets to their favourite live events, safely and securely, backed by a guarantee. Sellers on our marketplace may list tickets at high values when demand is high, but prices can change and tend to reduce over time."

Liverpool fans will only be able to buy seated and VIP tickets

Ticketmaster has said there's no standing tickets on sale for the 1pm Liverpool show.

On the site it says: "Please note there are no General Admission Standing tickets available today".

The 'queue before the queue' is open again.

Only join if you're buying for these two shows:

  • London | Wembley Stadium | Friday, 16 August 2024
  • Liverpool | Anfield Stadium | Friday, 14 June 2024
  • Ticket buying tips from a huge Swiftie

I still remember dancing around my bedroom to 'Our Song' at nine years old, and playing 'Dear John' on full blast in the car on the way to school. That's certainly my favourite era of Taylor's music, purely down to the nostalgia.

As a huge fan these are my top ticket buying tips to make it to the front of the Eras Tour queue:

    1. 'Take your pick' - choose where you want to be in the stadium before the sale starts
    2. Always join the waiting room, but don't touch ANYTHING once joined
    3. Never refresh your browser
    4. Use data over wifi - you're less likely to experience lags and crashes

Let's get ready for the next sale

The rush surrounding the first 11am sale is dying down now and hopefully that means you all have the tickets you wanted!

Now all eyes turn to the 1pm sale, and the waiting room opens all over again in 20 minutes time.

What shows are in the 1pm sale?

  • London | Wembley Stadium | Friday, 16 August 2024
  • Liverpool | Anfield Stadium | Friday, 14 June 2024
  • General Standing tickets now same 'Its a Love Story' VIP tickets

As we've seen some General Admission Standing tickets are selling for £275 each for Liverpool's Anfield Stadium show. The same price as some VIP package tickets.

'It's a Love Story' VIP tickets currently cost £276 each, as one fans Ticketmaster receipt shows below.

Taylor Swift tickets sell out for London and Liverpool

This grants VIPs to one reserved seat ticket, a special set of four Taylor Swift prints, exclusive Taylor Swift VIP merchandise; a bag, pin, sticker and postcard set, a souvenir concert ticket and a VIP tour laminate and matching lanyard.

Liverpool General Admission Standing at £275 each - a £135 price jump

This is why we don't like to say the prices until the sale has officially started, as prices rise.

General Admission Standing at Anfield now costs £275 each on AXS, as demand rises. In the pre-sale these cost around £140 each.

One fan has shared the price they paid for two General Admission Standing at Anfield came to £613.

Our top tip: Use data to buy tickets

If you can we'd suggest fans use data to buy tickets on AXS and Ticketmaster.

The queue issues from fans (being kicked out and bot issues) seemingly all have one thing in common; fans are on wifi. We can't say for definite that this is the case but to avoid potential issues we'd say data is more efficient.

Fans on wifi are being kicked out of AXS ticket queue

I've seen a lot of tweets from fans saying they're being kicked out of the queue.

One said: "@AXS_UK I got to the end of the queue to buy Taylor Swift tickets and it ridirected me to the website which has not been uploading for the last 10 minutes?"

This is what her screen looks like after waiting in the queue!

Fans say Wembley date has sold out

    UH OH!

Fans are taking to Twitter to say the Wembley June 22 show is now sold out.

We'll keep a close eye and be back with official word.

Update from fan kicked out of Ticketmaster for being 'a bot'

She's made it into the queue!

She told us: "When I disconnect from Wi-Fi on my phone, it seems to work fine. In the queue now!"

If you got a similar message, log onto your phone on the Ticketmaster app and use data instead, it seems to work.

    Swifties are on it!

    No queue numbers on AXS

If you're in the AXS queue and not seeing a position number, don't panic!

    • You can join the AXS ticket queue's here.

This was the same in yesterday's sale and seems to be the stance AXS are taking. This does mean fans won't be able to see how many people are ahead of them.

Our tip: Do not refresh the browser, wait it out!

Devastated fan kicked out of Ticketmaster for being a 'bot'

It didn't take long for the first issues to start, just five mintues into the sale.

One fan has shared she's been kicked out of Ticketmaster because they think she's a bot, despite her registering for the sale.

The waiting rooms have closed and all fans should now be in the main ticket queue.

Tickets are now on sale for the London Wembley Stadium show on June 22 and Liverpool Anfield Stadium show on June 13

If you registered for either of these two dates and are not in the queue, RUN!
