Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello confirm divorce after seven years of marriage
Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello have confirmed their separation after seven years of marriage.
The pair were last seen together last month in Hoboken, New Jersey, when the Modern Family star visited the 46-year-old actor on the set of his new project titled Nonnas.
Sofia has recently been spotted surrounded by a number of her friends while ringing in her 51st birthday in Italy. She has regularly documented her trip on social media in a series of sun-kissed snaps.
And now the pair have confirmed their tough decision in a joint statement. "We have made the difficult decision to divorce, " the pair began.

Speaking of their decision to go their separate ways, a source told the publication : "Sofia and Joe have been growing apart for a while now and are taking some distance from each other to contemplate their future."
The news comes after Modern Family star Sofia tied the knot with the Magic Mike actor in a lavish ceremony in Palm Beach, Florida, in November 2015 after less than one year of dating. The star-studded wedding was attended by the likes of Reese Witherspoon, Ariel Winter and Anna Paquin.
Their romance came hot on the heels of Sofia's split from businessman Nick Loeb.
Speaking of asking for Sofia's number shortly after her breakup, Joe told People in 2020: "I knew pretty quickly that I could trust her, and she knew pretty quickly that she could trust me. And we're both the kind of people who are capable of putting the other person ahead of ourselves.
"I was capable of putting her wishes ahead of mine, whatever they were, and she was capable of doing the same. Once you have that, you don't let go of it."
However, years earlier, Sofia admitted that she had reservations about dating Joe because she thought a relationship with him would be "too much work" due to his good looks.

"I told him when I met him that he was too handsome," she said. "I didn't want to go into a relationship with somebody that … I thought he was going to be too much work because girls were throwing themselves at him."
Shockingly, Sofia added that women were trying to flirt and shoot the shot with Joe, who was given the coveted title of People's Sexiest Man Alive that same year, right in front of her.
