Paris Saint-Germain's proposed move for Dusan Vlahovic could be in danger after the club's ultras threatened to 'cut his fingers off' because of a gesture he made while playing for Serbia.

Vlahovic, 23, has been heavily linked with a move to the Ligue 1 champions following Lionel Messi's departure. With Kylian Mbappe's future also uncertain, new boss Luis Enrique is keen to add another forward to his squad.

The Serbian international, who has also been subject to interest from Chelsea and Tottenham, is thought to be on PSG's radar ahead of a potential summer transfer. Vlahovic scored 14 goals in 42 appearances during his first full season at Juventus after his £60million move from Fiorentina in January 2022.

However, PSG ultras have made their feelings clear on for Vlahovic. They were pictured outside the Parc des Princes with a warning for the forward should he make the move to the French capital.

A banner read: "If you come, we will cut off your three fingers." According to Marca, the message is directed at the three fingers Vlahovic showed after a game with Serbia.

The remark is said to refer to 'Serbian supremacy over Kosovo' and 'could also mean a greeting made by a Serbian guerrilla of unification'. Vlahovic was also wearing a shirt that showcases Kosovo as part of Serbia.

This isn't the first time PSG ultras have sent a threat to a potential incoming player. Before Lucas Hernandez's move from Bayern Munich, they told the France defender that he is 'not welcome' at the club. The reasoning behind that was because of Hernandez's close links to rivals Marseille and his involvement in Bayern Munich's win over PSG in the Champions League final.

Vlahovic's future remains uncertain with reports that he could be allowed to leave Juventus this summer. Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino is thought to be keen on signing the striker, although his bumper £275,000-per-week wages could pose a problem.

Tottenham are also supposedly interested in the striker if Harry Kane decides to leave North London. Kane has been linked with a move to Bayern Munich after scoring 30 Premier League goals last season. He has one year left on his contract at Spurs and may be temped by a return to the Champions League.

Vlahovic will have plenty options should he chose to quit Juventus, despite moving to Turin only 18 months ago. He has been a prolific scorer in Serie A over the past few years since breaking into the first-team at Fiorentina. The ex-Partizan Belgrade forward scored 21 in 40 matches in 2020/21, before adding a further 29 the following year.
