Parents are using AI to help put their kids to bed - and sort their homework
A woman teaches parents how to use artificial intelligence tools such as ChatGPT to help with parenting.
Celia Quillain, a technology product marketer from Atlanta, Georgia, has told how she helps parents use an artificial intelligence chatbot called ChatGPT to simplify parenting tasks.
She teaches them to use the softwaer to write bedtime stories that engage their children and incorporate life lessons - by including their children's names in the story and involve them in the creative process.
According to Celia, friends and neighbours who have tried this approach found it effective.
She said: “The idea to create a bedtime story just came from the pain of getting children to bed, and also knowing GPT’s useful capabilities.

"You aren’t the sole contributor to the story. You can ask the child - who do you want to be in this story and who are the characters?"
Celia also highlighted other ways in which parents can use ChatGPT to assist with parenting tasks. It can help with planning birthday parties by providing ideas for invitations, decorations, activities, and snacks based on the theme and dietary requirements.

However, Celia advised users to fact-check the information provided for accuracy and safety.
She noted: "There are a variety of things that if you look through a parenting lens you can do with AI which are incredibly helpful.
"It can be helpful when planning a birthday party. It can help with travel planning.
"Even with homework if you just think it has been so long and you don’t remember how to help, ChatGPT can also be an assistant in that regard as well."
Celia encourages parents to give AI a chance and explore how it can assist them in various aspects of parenting. She recommends trying it out, experimenting, and discovering how it can be helpful.
She concluded: “I would absolutely recommend that parents get involved with AI. Give it a try. Experiment with it and learn how it can help you and them."
