Ottoman Hands has released an exclusive new range of jewellery that showcases beautiful Afghan inspired designs in collaboration a trust founded by His Majesty King Charles III.

The new collection is made in collaboration with Turquoise Mountain and consists of 15 contemporary designs fusing East & West, inspired by Afghan craftsmanship.

Turquoise Mountain was established in 2006 by His Majesty King Charles III to revive historic areas and traditional crafts in Afghanistan. It also works to protect heritage and communities at risk around the world, and to provide jobs and education.

The Ottoman Hands x Turquoise Mountain collaboration aims to support and train a new generation of artisans, as well as help preserve their unique cultures and traditions.

The entire collection is handmade using traditional techniques in Kabul, and features beautiful Lapis Lazuli and Green Chrysocolla semi-precious gemstones, set in 18ct gold-plated sterling silver or brass.

A spokesperson for Ottoman Hands said: "The inspiration behind the pieces came from Turquoise Mountain’s main collection. I love the artisan designs and how their pieces reflect Afghan heritage. I took the main geometric elements of their intricate pieces and implemented our modern twist to the designs.

"Every piece is made by hand, using traditional practices and set with Lapis Lazuli, the ancient gemstone of Afghanistan. Its name means 'stone from heaven', so we created designs with celestial and geometric elements in 18ct gold-plated sterling silver or brass.

"I am very happy with the result, as there are pieces for everyday stacking and also pieces for jewellery lovers who are seeking statement designs."
