Ukraine invasion a proxy war between US and Russia, Robert F Kennedy Jr claims
United States Presidential Candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr, the nephew of John F. Kennedy, said he believes the public is being deceived regarding Russ'a war on Ukraine.
In a recent interview on the Lex Fridman podcast, Kennedy described Putin as a "dangerous man" and alleged that he is responsible for killing his enemies and poisoning them.
However, Kennedy emphasized that he does not support interfering in the Russian government, stating that it would be irresponsible to do so. He further claimed that the public is being misled about the reasons for the war in Ukraine and the true state of the conflict.
The controversial figure has gained a reputation as a conspiracy theorist, having made claims that vaccines are linked to autism in children, and previously compares the US government's use of vaccine mandates to laws in Nazi Germany.

He also discussed the CIA's influence and the assassination of his uncle, former President John F. Kennedy.

Kennedy argued that the war in Ukraine is a proxy war between the United States and Russia, drawing parallels to the Soviet-Afghan war of the 1980s. He criticized the US government's stated reasons for involvement in the conflict, claiming that the true intention is to depose Vladimir Putin and degrade Russia's military capabilities.
Kennedy alleged that a peace agreement between Ukraine and Russia was sabotaged by "neocons in the White House and Boris Johnson," referring to the UK Prime Minister.
According to Kennedy, the public is being deceived about the progress of the war, as he believes it is impossible for Ukraine to defeat Russia. He claimed that Russia's military capacity far surpasses that of Ukraine and highlighted the high casualty rate among Ukrainian soldiers.

We need to be talking with the Russians, we should, and negotiating. And we need to be looking about how do we end this and preserve peace in Europe.
Regarding the removal of Putin, RFK Jr said: “Anybody who thinks it’s a good idea to do a regime change in Russia, which has more nuclear weapons than we do, is I think irresponsible.
“He [Putin] has his hand on a button that could bring Armageddon to the entire planet.
“So why are we messing with this? It’s not our job to change that regime. We should be making friends with the Russians. We shouldn’t be treating him as an enemy. Now we’ve pushed him into the camp with China. That’s not a good thing for our country.”
Mr Kennedy has announced he will challenge Joe Biden to be the Democratic nominee for the White House next year.

He told the interviewer: "You did something that is very unfair. Which is, you made a series of characterizations of my beliefs that you read in the newspapers. Many of which are just wrong."

Among his other beliefs that were challenged in the interview is that AIDS patients can only develop the disease after first contracting HIV, and that 5G and WiFi can be dangerous.
He has also repeatedly accused the CIA of playing a role in the assassinations of his uncle, JFK, and father, Bobby Kennedy.
Recently, he also suggested there had been a rise in school shootings because more young people were taking anti-depressants like Prozac.
