The View host begs producer for help mid-interview after Whoopi's 'awkward row'
The View host Ana Navarro paused an interview live on-air to ask members of the crew for assistance – following Whoopi's 'awkward' outburst with Liam Neeson.
Senator Chuck Schumer was a guest on the hit-ABC morning TV programme earlier last week when the panel were discussing that weekend's eventful Super Bowl.
Joining co-anchors Whoopi Goldberg, Sara Haines, Alyssa Farah Griffin and Sunny Hostin, Ana spoke to the senator as he spoke about his new grandson Henry.
Everything was seemingly going to plan as the presenter, 33, transitioned the conversation onto the recent Chinese spy balloon scandal – when things began going wrong.
Sunny had asked about the "latest chapter" in the "classified documents drama".

Ana was about to ask more questions as she said "Senator, um Democrats and the..." before pausing to cut herself off, asking Whoopi "Are we going back?".
Whoopi sharply replied: "[Going back] to what?" As Ana looked even more confused, creating an awkward silence on set, she begged producers for help.
She asked crew behind the cameras if she "should jump in", to which they replied just "keep going".
It comes on the same week the show descended into chaos as Whoopie clashed with a member of crew in an "awkward" confrontation in front of Liam Neeson.
He was promoting new movie MARLOWE and joined the panel – with some viewers saying the chat was "full of silence".
Conversation was already slightly dry as Liam looked noticeably uncomfortable when producers played dozens of clips of host Joy declaring her love for the film star.
"I'm sorry, I'm speechless," Joy admitted after the videos were played in front of Liam. "How embarrassing when they put them together like that." Liam replied: "I know."
The room went silent as Whoopi looked down the camera and at the crew before saying: "Well I'm trying to figure... erm, yes?"
"Is that it," asked another member of the panel before Whoopi began shouting at the crew. "You keep throwing stuff up," she blasted.

Crew member Brian shouted off-camera: "We've run out of time, but we do have more time with Mr Neeson."
All before Whoopi came back with: "Well then why don't you say that to him?" Some members of the audience gasped during the cringeworthy back-and-fourth.
The director nervously announced: "If you stick around we'll have more with you in a moment..." As it went silent again, some of the panel nervously laughed.
"We'll be right back," Brian added. Liam was then seen on camera looking around, seemingly wondering what had happened to his interview.
