The latest Fortnite update has arrived, bringing with it a new Most Wanted event, which offers free goodies and rewards.

The Fortnite update 23.40 patch notes brought us the news that some exotic weapons, like the Dual Pistols and Boom Sniper Rifle, have been unvaulted. The patch has also introduced a new event, Fortnite Most Wanted, which runs from now until February 28. During this event, there is a selection of Most Wanted quests unlocking every couple of days. By completing these quests, you gain infamy levels, which in turn unlock new cosmetic items like the Gold Blooded Ace skin.

For those who participated in last year's Dragon Ball Super Shenron event, Most Wanted will feel quite familiar. Like the Shenron event’s Dragon Balls, there are some collectable Cold Blooded medallions. Collecting all five of these will unlock a special back bling: the Solid Skull.

Fortnite Most Wanted Quests are broken down into five categories:

At the time of writing, the first four are now available. New categories unlock every two days, with the final one unlocking on February 22, so you’ll have six extra days to bang those out.

Luckily, the quests seem to be fairly simple, with Intel and Recon having a mixture of things like “collect gold bars” and “collect a heavy or boom sniper rifle”. The only ones unique to the new event involve raising your heat level and visiting areas with Cold Blooded vaults and Bosses (which are thankfully marked on the map if you hover over the quest). Going in Loud and Going in quiet – as the names suggest – involve making a scene and being stealthy respectively.

For Going in Loud missions, you'll be doing things like using explosives and dealing damage up close and personal. Again none of these seem too unique to the event, other than 'Claim a Named Location containing a Cold Blooded Vault' and 'Eliminate five members of the Cold Blooded', which, again, are thankfully marked on your map.

Going in Quiet will see you channel your inner Solid Snake. Again, nothing really unique to the event, these missions see you hide in dumpsters, deal damage while hiding in a bush and eliminate enemies with the unvaulted Suppressed Pistol.

Cracking the Vault has you gain access to a Cold Blooded vault with a key card, and emoting inside it. You can get the Cold Blooded key card by defeating a boss. Again, these will be noted on your map. Otherwise, Cracking the Vault has fairly simple quests like, 'eliminate opponents with an exotic weapon' and 'collect 500 gold bars in a single match'

Completing seven quests in each category rewards you with its Cold Blooded Medallion, and unlocks the next set of quests. So far both categories have nine quests, so it’s worth writing off the final two for some extra infamy points

Fortnite Solid Skull Quest guide

Once you unlock the five Cold Blooded Medallions, you get access to the Solid Skull back bling. Epic Games has announced in a news post on the Fortnite website, that this back bling will have its own quests attached to it for the rest of Chapter 4 Season 1, allowing the player to evolve how it looks.

Not much is known about these quests for now, but it’s noted in that post that the Solid Skull quests will have you racking up eliminations.
