Man who won mansion in raffle puts £2.5m home back on the market - for a profit
The owner of a £2.5million luxury mansion he won in an online raffle has put it on the market - for 10% more.
Competition winner Grant Carson scooped the stunning Lake District home earlier this year after entering a prize raffle.
But instead of keeping the five-bedroom mansion most people could only dream of calling home, widower Mr Carson is hoping to make a profit off his win.
The 58-year-old from Glasgow said at the time that the plush new home in the major beauty spot- which also came with £100,000 - would give him more security, with his win also helping raise thousands for charity.
He told in January how he hoped to be able to spend more time walking in the rolling Lake District hills with his dog after suffering from chronic arthritis.

The house comes with stunning views over the Lake District dales (Omaze / SWNS)But Mr Carson, who has worked in the charity sector for 27 years, now appears to have had a change of heart, the Daily Record reports. The lavish property has now gone on the market - this time for £2.75million.
Estate agents Hackney & Leigh describe it as "a superb country home set in eight acres of meadow, pasture land and gardens, and its elevated location gives the most delightful southerly and westerly views over the surrounding area".
The farmhouse comes with a scenic garden, extended patio area and a backdrop of the wild hay meadows and rolling hills. The property was previously renovated but retained its original features including stone flags in the sitting room and window seats offering picturesque views down into the valley.

The ensuite bathroom boasts twin wash basins, a freestanding tub with shower and adjoining dressing room. The property also has a guest suite with vaulted ceilings and its own kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and living space.
In January, Grant said: "I've never really won anything before this, but now I might be one of the luckiest men in Scotland. I've just left my old job helping disabled people across Glasgow, which I had done for 27 years, so starting out as a freelance consultant was a big change."
